So far this is the only player I've found that will play the JVC mov and Mp4 files without any codecs installed

Matt, have you tried the free, cross platform VLC Media Player? It's also very adept at playing various formats without any codecs installed.

VLC wouldnt play either - did play the audio part tho.

Thanks for the link to the player. It works great! It even lets you step through a clip one frame at a time.

Thank you very much for this link, I downloaded and installed it and it works very nice! And you know I found this player amazing, there are so many features! I found it very innovative!

I'm using KMPlayer. It's a great player as well. I like it best to double click the .ifo file in a DVD_TS folder, it will play the DVD with navigation structure. No need to use programs like WinDVD or PowerDVD.

MPUI-hcb IS WIN ONLY. Please note platform when mentioning software.
