I have the standard FS-4 (might be Pro, not sure).

It doesnt have any option to record in HD. Is there an update I can download or purchase to enable me to do this?

Hi Tim. I'm in the same boat here. Just upgraded my Canon XM-2 for a Sony HVR-HD1000P so now need to uprade my pal FS-4 to HD. Was listed as $299 upgrade at the store on the Firestore website but that has been down for sometime.

But it doesnt work on my FS-4. I think you need to have the FS-4 PRO version.

In any case, I've put this up for sale in the classifieds if anyone wants it.

This upgrade should be for upgrading FS-4 (not the pro-version) to FS-4 HD.

I have decided to sell my FS-4 instead of upgrading, so I have not tried!

Just got the upgrade for my standard FS-4s to HD... it was $195 a piece. Just FYI.

Is anyone interested in burning a copy of the upgrade disk for me? I have an FS-4 that I would like to get HD files to work with. Or is there a place where I can get the update for free?

I could sell it for cheap.
