Not sure if this has been aired before but looks like Panasonic have come up with something to overcome the rolling shutter flash frame nonsense on cmos cams.

Take a look at this demo ProVideo Coalition.com: FRESHDV by Matthew Jeppsen & Kendal Miller (http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/freshdv/story/nab_2009_panasonic_hpx300/) it starts about 10 minutes in dealing with the compensation to the rolling shutter.

Hopefully Sony or a plug-in vendor will come out with something similar since Panasonic is taking the lead on this problem.

A firmware update would be nice... the less steps in the post workflow, the better...
