Just thought I'd pass along a tip that may come in handy for other folks, as it did for me.
After shooting an hour or so of digital stills of a scene that could not be repeated or reshot I promptly came home and inadvertently erased all of the photos from my 10D's flash card. What a clever fellow am I, eh?
Cutting to the chase: I found a very inexpensive shareware package called Photo Rescue (http://www.photorescue.com/) that saved the day for me. For the meager price of $30 it recovered every shot from the card, and even recovered Christmas shots I had long since erased!
It's a tool that's well worth the modest expense. There are both Mac and Windows versions offered.
