Greetings wonderful DVi folk.

I've posted a ridiculously easy instructions for making your own instantly useable Flip Out LCD Shade for camcorders here
http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/shade.html

I had previously bought the rather fancy commercially available but hard to get on and off LCD shade. My design costs almost nothing to make, provides deeper shading, goes on and off in an instant, and packs up in virtually zero space.

Takes a few minutes to put together, that's it. You'll ask yourself "Why didn't I think of that!?!" (Hmmm, maybe a few of you did)

Hope you enjoy.

None of the pictures show up for me. And, if you would enclose your link in [u r l]link[/ u r l] without the spaces, folks could just click on it.

Sorry, I just tried and no pictures for me either. I'm using Explorer on a Mac under OSX. I get empty frames with an icon that has a red X in it, indicating the file either can't be found or can't be opened.

Likewise, no pics here. Neil if you look at your links, they're pointing to a local filesystem file, not a URL.

Hi Neil,

I'm having the same problem with the pix not loading. (Also on your DIY Semi-Fisheye Lens Project.) Glancing at your html, it looks like the image links are still pointing to your computer (D: drive) instead of being a link relative to the site itself.

So something like "file:///D:/All%20Photos/DVX%20Wide%20angle/shade.jpg" might become ".../All%20Photos/DVX%20Wide%20angle/shade.jpg" (You can also replace the spaces in your folder names with underscores '_' to lose the '%20' if you'd like.)

Thanks for posting the tip. I look forward to seeing what you've done.

Best,
Clayton
