Looks interesting. Similar products have been around for a while and people have mesed with them but ultimately ditched them saying they are either not up to scratch or just too dangerous to shoot with. It will be interesting to see if things have improved.

Yeah, I would imagine if your entire field of view is taken up by a projected image, you're not going to be walking more than a few feet. But they'd be great for laptops and games!

I used something similar many years ago but it was heavy, cumbersome and the picture wasn't that great.

I think that this would be a great thing for shooting with the GlideCam as you don't have to keep reorienting your head from the monitor to your surroundings while on the go.

This is especially important if you are not shooting with a "dolly grip" that guides you and watches your back so that you can concentrate 100% on your shot.

I think we'll give it a shot when it is released.

"I think that this would be a great thing for shooting with the GlideCam"

I think Garett B tried this aproach on first steadicam models and found it very distracting....

All it would take is a little bit of getting use to.

When I shoot in very fluid environments, I always have my left eye open which helps me look out for obstacles, other things to shoot, etc.

This would basically amount to the same thing. Set the monitor up to your dominant eye and shoot with both eyes open.
