I have a VX2000 for sale. I'm looking to get $1500 for the camera, firm. The package includes the camera itself, A 6 hour battery, a 8 hour battery, large eye piece, and charger.

If you search back a couple of pages you will see that I just purchased another GL2, and this is the reason why I don't need the VX2000

Condition on the VX2000: The camera is less than a year and a half old. I have owned it since April of this year, the previous owner had it for a year. He also shot only to a firestore (a fs-1) He mainly shot band shows, and this was his 3rd camera, used for backup. This is the reason he sold it to me.

What I have shot with the camera. I have done 5 wedding receptions. I used my GL2 during the ceremony because I feel more at home with the camera, and it has a 20x zoom. I used the vx2000 at the reception for the low light capabilities. I did run tape as well as a Firestore fs-4. So I have used the drums for 5 hours, never as a playback deck. I have also shot 3 house tours with the camera, with no tape, FS-4 only. I would feel safe saying the drums have no more then 10-12 hours on them tops.

So your basically getting a brand new camera, everything works great. I have been around the forum for a good amount of time, and have great feedback on ebay, my name is MrSwa.

Here are some pictures: http://www.videomemoriesinc.com/camera/

Feel free to email me at todd@videomemoriesinc.com or call me on my cell phone: 419-303-8119

Todd

Canon GL-2 with extra battery.

My GL-2 is in excellent cosmetic shape. Comes with standard accessories, including:
* GL2 3-CCD MiniDV Camcorder
* Lens hood
* Large eye cup
* Wireless remote controller
* 2 AA Batteries (for remote)
* Stereo video cable
* USB cable
* Shoulder strap (Sony, not canon)
* CA-920 Compact power adapter
* DC-920 DC Coupler
* BP-915 battery
* 8mb SD Card (for still photos)
* Operations manual

I will also throw in an additional 3-hour battery.

This GL-2 records and plays back perfectly. I am offering at a discount due to loose firewire (DV port) pin. Note: You ARE ABLE TO USE the DV-out port but it is a somewhat jury-rigged solution (i.e., you need to apply slight sideways pressure on the cable to ensure that it makes good contact with the DV receptacle). This camera would be IDEAL for someone who has access to another camcorder or a MiniDV deck to transfer the footage to your computer for editing. Or, you can always find a cheap (<$50) used camcorder with a working DV port for transferring footage from tapes recorded with this GL2.

I am selling because I have another GL2 and I only need one.
I am in San Francisco.

$1500 (+ Paypal fee if any) gets it. I will pay for ground shipping.

My ebay and FredMiranda (Buy & Sell Canon dSLR eqp't) ID is Jake_SF -- 131 transactions (100% positive).

Thanks,
--Jim

Hi Andrew... I am very interested and have a few quick q's.

* How old is the unit?

* Is the LCD 16:9 compatible? We shoot with a JVC GY-HD100U and only shoot 720p24. If not I would not be interested in Package #2. And the Sony battery and charger... is this just for the monitor? We use Anton/Bauer for the camera and do not want to tap off this battery. How much will you discount without including package #2? I am interested in the monitor mount…

* How is the condition of the vest foam?

* Will the Bogen quick release plate only work with Bogen tripods?

* What payment methods do you accept?

Regards,

Billy

Hey -

I have a DVX-100a that I used to shoot fifteen hours of footage. During the shoot, my camera bag was stolen that had the original batteries.

I now want to sell the camera, as is. I replaced the original batteries with knock-offs that get the job done, but aren't as cool.

Make me a good offer.

Boyd,
I just contacted apple and yes the applecare is transferable to the new owner!
I also did a little math as if you were to buy a new 12" Powerbook:

"PowerBook 12" 1.5GHz SuperDrive
$1,499.00
Quantity: 1
AppleCare Protection Plan for PowerBook (w/ or w/o Display)
$349.00
Quantity: 1
Cart Subtotal: $1,848.00"

So I am offering mine w/ applecare coverage till 6/23/07 for only

$1200.00!!

I am also throwing the iRac which is a table stand to get it up off the table ($20.00 value) & the Analog S-video output ($20.00 value) Not including the RAM upgrade.
Thats a savings of $688.00 !!!!
For this kind of cash saved could equal- 2-300 gig LacieHD's, Tota light kit,
external monitor.

Thanks for looking.

Well......I bought this computer and have decided to go Mac. It is two weeks old! I purchased the extended one year in home service contract for it which I will transfer to you through dell. The system is blisteringly fast.........I just need to switch to Mac for the business. These dual core's handle multiple programs much much better than single cores.....it's like having a dual processor without the communications lag. The SATA drive also makes programs load extremely fast.

The system has 1 gig of DDR2 Ram (latest, fastest)

It has an upgraded Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card that supports Dolby 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. It has ports to connect the various channels. There is also a FireWire Iee1394 port for capturing digital video or an iPod built into the card.....very handy!

The video card is also upgraded.....it's a PCI Express 16x ATI Radeon X600 with 256mb of video RAM. PCIX is the latest and greatest and the 256mb of Vram will keep the visual flowing....be it games, video, or still image editing.

The system comes with Windows XP Pro Media Center Edition......media center is really great for organizing media files and really reallygreat for watching DVD's. Macafee Virus protection and firewall are also included.

I really enjoy using the system.....but I need to go in another direction. Manufacture date is 10/04/05.
I am located in Indian Harbour Beach and will be in and out this weekend, but definately available in the evenings next week. I can ship as well via UPS.

Dell has changed the name of this system (last week) to the XPS 400.........XPS are their top of the line PC's, I guess they thought it was too loaded to be a Dimension anymore.

Here is a link to a PC Magazine review of this PC:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1843027,00.asp

The base system is $899 with a single core processor. As configured this system is $1,115 plus shipping, handling, and tax from dell. They have free ground shipping going on right now but still get ya for the $29 handling fee and Tax. That's $1213 shipped from Dell.

I am selling this one for $800. You can bag one off of Flea Bay for about the same price including shipping. As stated before I will transfer the warranty to you through dell, something that you dont get off of Ebay.

You can email me at kcolber AT gmail.com (remove the AT). Whenever someone buys this we both win, you get a ridiculously fast pc at a great price and I get a mac!

Is the the deal with the free 19" LCD as listed on Dell's site this week? Is a monitor included?

Kevin James
October 22nd, 2005, 09:59 AM
No monitor is included.

The system with the free 19" configured like mine would be 1313. When I spec'd out the comparison price I subtracted the monitor which took $100 off.

It is really hard to re-sell Dell computers, so many people with corp discounts, stacked coupons, etc. $800 is fair and right in the middle of similar systems on eBay, these are all new systems though.

This one might as well be new =)

I'm even having dell send me out a new HD with the original image installed on it so it's the same way it came out of the factory.

This thing has literally been sitting here mostly unused since I got it.......it needs a home that will use it!

Hello board, my name is David Woodland. I am an independent filmmaker from Louisville, Kentucky. I used to post on this board quite a bit but lately I've been very busy with work. Anyway, to my question.

I have a Canon GL2 that I picked up exactly 2 years ago. I've probably put about 15-20 tapes through it. I really haven't used it as much as I thought I would. What would most people be interested in buying this camera for, now that there are HD cameras on the market and such? I have one more small commercial I am doing for this company here in my town, but after I am finished with that, I have no intentions of keeping the camera. My plan is to sell the camera off and put the money towards Film School. I just graduated from Louisville Technical Institute with an Associates Degree in Computer Graphic Design. Now I want to attend Film School.

Okay guys and gals, let me know what you think.

Thank you

David Woodland

Hi Guys -

I'm selling my Canon XL2, along with the items listed below, because I have been working with 16mm film and have hardly used it. Total, the heads have been run no more than 5 hours. All items were bought new, by me, except for the tripod which was bought used from an original owner. The camera is in mint condition, along with the lens, batteries, accessories, etc. The tripod is in very good condition. I will include the original receipt (from Zotz digital) and all warranty cards with the purchase. I also still have the original boxes that everything came in. Please feel free to email me with any questions or offers, or send me an email with your phone number and I'll give you a call.

Items list (everything in mint condition, except for the tripod, which is in very good condition):

Canon XL2 body - under 5 hours use
14x manual lens (with originally included Canon lens bag and ND 8 filter)
Kata CCC-10 bag
Mack 4-year warranty
All standard XL2 accessories included with the original camera purchase (battery, battery charger, AC adaptor, remote control, etc)
TA-100 Tripod Adaptor
Bogen-Manfrotto 516 head / 515 legs (with Manfrotto carrying bag)
an extra, longer-life battery (Lenmar LIC941)
5 Panasonic 63PQ mini-DV tapes
UV filter
and a Panasonic head-cleaner tape (AYDVMCLA)

As you can see, this is basically a complete XL2 shooting package.

So, I would like to sell it as a package for $4500 Or Best Offer. However, I might be willing to split it up. Send me an email if you are interested. Actual shipping costs will be paid by the buyer.

If you are in the Chicago area, you could come by and look at the camera for yourself.

Thanks!

EDIT: here is a link to the tripod: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=272982&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

The soft-case I have looks different from the one they show included with this, and it only comes with one pan-handle. Otherwise, this is the set-up, with the 100mm ball-leveler included.

David,

I've recently sold my 18 month old Canon GL2 for $1400 right here on this board. I threw in the camera carrying case and some extra filters. This price, I feel, is fair for a mint-condition GL2. Why? A brand new GL2 only costs $1900 or so. This price, minus the $250 factory rebate, comes down to about $1700 (after tax and everything). This means you've only paid $300 or so for 18 months of usage. That's a pretty damn good deal, considering the rental prices on these 3CCD cams.

Matthew Wauhkonen

I used a mini35 today, and trust me...there's a world of difference. The precision with which these things are made (and the investment you need to make in lenses) makes the $8000 price tag seem shockingly reasonable.

By the way, the mini35 rocks my world.

Hello all,

I recently placed an order for a PowerMac Quad G5, hence I am selling off my current PowerMac G5 setup. The specs are as follows:

PowerMac G5 Dual 2.5Ghz
3.5GB DDR400 RAM
410GB SATA HD space
ATI Radeon X800 XT Graphics Card
Pioneer Dual-Layer Optical Drive
Apple 23" HD Cinema Display (ADC version)

I'm also including the following software:

Mac OS X Tiger
iLife '05
Production Suite (Final Cut Pro HD, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, etc.)(I never registered the software, so you can do this)

And finally I have extended AppleCare till November of 2007.

I used this machine mainly for video editing and motion graphics work (hence the hardware upgrades to the machine). It is all completely covered under Applecare and everything is in excellent condition. I love this machine and it is extremely fast, but with the Quad G5 and 30" display on order, I have no need to have this machine anymore.

Let me know if your interested. Thanks. I'm looking for $4100 for everything - plus no tax :-)

No, that's too low, that's basically giving it away. the camera is practically brand new. The lowest I would go was $1450 plus shipping. Remember your not paying for ebay junk, but a perfect working camera, that will last for a long time.

Boyd, I think your confused with the terminology or you confused the Apple staff when you called. I have had applecare transferred several times over the past four years without a problem. However, you cannot transfer the applecare you purchase from one machine, to a new machine that you purchase at a later date Say you have one year left of warranty and you decide to get something new, they won't let you trade the warranty from the old machine your selling to the new one you bought.

Not to play "pile-on", but for my money, B&H is the only place to go! They have a solid reputation, knowledgable staff and are not a fly-by-night storefront that offers very low prices then adds on items like you often see in the magazines. "Oh! you wanted a battery with that camera? And a lense too?!"

You will enjoy the store - plan on spending at least 2 hours!
