Sam Forbes September 24th, 2005, 07:45 PM Must be in good shape and come with factory accessories.
Brand new ones can be bought from BH for $1700 now with the rebate so I am setting my budget according to that. Please contact me if you have one of these for sale.
Thanks

Dennis Kuk September 24th, 2005, 11:20 PM I have a Sony HDR-FX1 HD Cam that I might sell. Reason is I want to get the XL2. Only used it for 2 -3 hours. Not a single scratch or anything wrong with the camcorder. Comes with everything including the box. Also an extra high capacity Sony battery. And a really nice bag made for this camera.
Asking $3050.
You can contact me on wdskuk@yahoo.com or can call my cell at 708-297-0700.

Jason Chang September 25th, 2005, 07:16 PM Sam,
What would you consider to be a fair price for a Canon GL2 with less than 20 hours on it? Let me know.
Jason
Sean McHenry September 25th, 2005, 08:42 PM I have a Steady Stick if anyone is still looking for one.
I feel obligated to mention, the only reason I would let this go is that I already had the Glidecam 2000 and the Glidecam Crane 200 when I won the Steady Stick.
Sean McHenry
Jason Chang September 26th, 2005, 02:11 AM I am selling a mint-condition Canon GL2. This has been a problem-free camera for me. There is about 20 HRs of usage on it; therefore, it is almost new. It comes complete with all of the accessories, two Tiffen filters, and a professional, water-proof carrying case.
This baby doesn't have one single scratch on it. I've sold a few things on this forum, and none of them had problems. I don't want somebody to sell me their problem, and I sure as hell ain't going to sell somebody a camera that has any problem.
The price for everything is $1400

Todd Kivimaki September 26th, 2005, 01:59 PM Anyone else? Consider the trade, or just selling the vx2000 outright. I have one possibility, going to wait for about another week to see if anything else comes up.
Zander Taketomo September 26th, 2005, 03:05 PM im looking to buy a FULLY FUNCTIONAL super 8 film camera. i do not know much about them, and this is my first one. i will ONLY purchase with paypal and from users in the USA. even if you do not have one for sale please give me some info on what to look for... one thing that i want is for most everything if not everything to have the option of being manuel as i want to learn about super 8 to the fullest extent. drop some brand/model names also please.
-Zander
Richard Alvarez September 26th, 2005, 04:33 PM Zander,
I own half a dozen Super 8 cams, all great fun. You can spend as little as twenty bucks at a garage sale, to a grand for a complete rebuild on one.
http://www.super8today.com/
http://home.pacbell.net/mnyberg/super8mm/
http://www.thevideojunkie.com/s8/
http://www.super8guy.com/ ------------This one's really good.
And for filmstock http://www.8mmfilmstock.com/
Are some good places to start.
The Canon 1014Xl-s is one of the 'holy grails' of super 8 cams.
I really like my Sankyo EM60, own two of them. Also my Elmo 612. Note that 'super 8 sound' stock is discontinued, so there's no use paying more for the 'sound' versions of various cameras. You'll have to record double system sound.
There is some buzz right now, that Kodak, will discontinue the super 8 reversal stock. There are companies that will continue to 'can it' and sell it, along with the negative stock.
Good luck, and have fun!
Jason Chang September 26th, 2005, 06:26 PM Guys, can you resend those emails? I've just realized that I had to change my junk-mail protection filter before I could receive your emails.
I apologize for the trouble.

Sam Forbes September 26th, 2005, 08:34 PM Jason, Sent you an email last night about the cam. Not sure if it went through so sent another just now. I would buy it tomorrow. Call me at 281-804-1214, I'm up late.
Thanks
Tyge Floyd September 26th, 2005, 08:46 PM I have a Canon DM-50 shotgun mic that I don't use anymore. It can be used on several Canon camcorders with a Hot Shoe. This is a great little mic for those who want better audio than the on board mics on consumer camcorders provide.
The mic is compatible with the following camcorders:
Elura 65
Elura 70
GL2
Optura 10
Optura 100MC
Optura 20
Optura 30
Optura 40
Optura 60
Optura Pi
XL2
ZR30MC
ZR50MC
ZR70MC
The mic is in good condition with the only signs of wear being the lettering having been slightly rubbed from transporting it in a day pack. It requires no batteries as it is powered by the Hot Shoe of the camera. These sell for $125-150 just about any where...I'll take $75 shipped, insured to your door for it.
Send me an email if interested, editor@texasoutdoorsman.com. Thanks!
Jason Chang September 26th, 2005, 09:53 PM I would like to answer a few of your questions on this forum.
First, this GL2 was only used to tape my English classes. It has NOT been exposed to any harsh weather. It has never been to any beach either. We all know that sand can do serious damage to your tape head.
Second, I am selling this camcorder only because I've realized that I am never going to have time to shoot my short film. I am a full-time teacher. I sold my XL1 on this forum after I shut down my wedding video business over a year ago. I bought the GL2 right after that. It has NEVER given me any problems. This is a PERFECT camera inside and out.
ps. This GL2 was NEVER used as a tape rewinder or playback VCR. I have a small Sony DCR-PC5 for that. So, don't worry.
Jason
Jason Chang September 26th, 2005, 11:22 PM The camera has been sold.
Todd, I will figure out the shipping cost once I get to the post office. It shouldn't be very much.
Xiaoli Wang September 27th, 2005, 12:25 AM Item has been sold.
Andrew Petrie September 27th, 2005, 07:55 AM Toni, I honestly could not say exactly what sort of taxes you'd be looking at. I would assume your state tax would apply, but since it's not brand new goods you might not get taxed at all. But no duties for sure, given the Glidecams are built in the USA.
If another DVi memebr who frequently imports items could chime in, we could both learn something ;)
Hugh DiMauro September 27th, 2005, 09:12 AM I will throw in a FREE internal CD burner!
Sean McHenry September 27th, 2005, 09:24 AM I didn't realize there were different models. I'll check when I get home tonight. It's brand new, still wrapped up in the box. Just got it in the last 2 months so I would think it's the latest version.
I think, from what I can remember of it, it's this one:

Or, see this for info:

Karlheinz Webersinke September 27th, 2005, 01:27 PM The Camera is in mint condition with all original Accessories. I`m looking for
Euro 1500.- including the orig. Canon 0.7 WW Lens.
webersinke@kabsi.at
Bob Costa September 27th, 2005, 01:44 PM I thought I might wait until maybe you really have it for sale instead of testing the waters or maybe you offer a better price or maybe the next generation of HD comes out or maybe Sony offers a rebate so that a brand new one is a lot cheaper than your offer instead of almost the same.
Then again, I guess maybe I might not be that interested.
Steve Nunez September 27th, 2005, 02:14 PM I also have 72mm CU filters for the FX1 in 1x, 2x and 4X magnifications!
Jon Omiatek September 27th, 2005, 03:23 PM I have a slightly used Glidecam 4000 pro and bodypod for sale. $400 for both.

Allen Thok September 28th, 2005, 10:11 AM is the monitor still up for sale..if so ..what is your asking price?
Steve Nunez September 28th, 2005, 12:51 PM Selling my FX1 in the next few days and would like a HD1 or 10U to use in the FX1's absence. If anyone has one for sale, conact me with price, condition and location. Thanks
steve@stevenunez.com
Dwain Morse September 28th, 2005, 01:55 PM I have a GL-2 that I am thinking of parting with. It doesn't get enough use to justify its continued hallowed place in my closet.
I have all the original pieces except the box and manual. I do have a large 8X11 manual that I printed out from the PDF file from Canon.
Includes the WD-58, Vl-10 Light, cheap and cheesy but worked okay for me until I knew more Azden SGM-1 microphone, factory battery, two 8 hour batteries (courtesy ebay but they work great), dual charger, UV Filter and a carrying bag.
I do not have the original boxes (moved and they didn't survive the gorilla test).
I will accept only Paypal since I've heard far to many horror stories of stolen/forged money orders and checks.
Camera works great. It is about 18 months old, maybe 8 tapes ran through it. Never used it to rewind the tapes or for capture. I'll toss in the Maxell tape winder too. (Kinda moot having that around.)
I'm selling it as I don't have a use for it yet (it was one of those future things and the money was there). I do however, have a need for a high end DSLR for a project I commence in a month. So I can shovel the money towards that end. (Works out for me!)
*edit may=maybe :)
Giroud Francois September 28th, 2005, 02:18 PM indiscrete question: why trade an FX1 for an HD1(0) ?
why not an HC1, newer, cheaper.
Andrew Petrie September 28th, 2005, 02:20 PM update: sale pending
Steve Nunez September 28th, 2005, 02:46 PM Ohh it is no trade- I'm simply selling the FX1 for some investment cash and am hoping to find a HD1 or 10U used for around $1200 to keep my HDV workflow going. I remember seeing a post of a HD1 for $1000 but can't remember what site I saw it listed on. If I can't find an HDV cam for that price point I'll stop shooting HDV for awhile until the investment pays off- then of course get another FX-1!!!!
Meryem is the likely buyer of my FX-1, just trying my luck here.
Christopher Go September 28th, 2005, 04:02 PM Aloha Allen, check your email!
Torrey, will be sending you an email tonight - need to send you some better pics if I can.
Steve, contact David Riddle Company at 1-800-544-3746. He is very well known in the industry for his services/products. The monitor case goes for $400 alone brand new. My monitor was calibrated there as well.
Ben Bixby September 28th, 2005, 06:03 PM I have a GL2, bought it 6 months ago brand new from Norman Camera. I have the all the originals, the box, everything. I need to part from this camera due to money issues. Works perfect, just like it did new, and has zero scratches on it as i treated it as my baby. PM me if you have any interest in it. Im thinking around 1800$ for it.

I did get an email from another interested buyer. He told me he sent funds today so as of now this item is sold pending the receipt of funds. Thanks for your interest, I'll let you know if the sale falls through.
