Feel free to e-mail me at bmarlow@bresnan.net Pat Sherman August 25th, 2005, 03:50 PM Yeah I got one response from him but nothing since the original post date.. Chayan Alavi August 25th, 2005, 04:17 PM We are shooting a very low budget indie film in the Southern California Area. We are looking for actors. The pay is extremely lousy and your talent needs to be great. But if someone is looking for experience maybe it can be a win win. Just so people know, when I mean low budget; the entire budget is somewhere around $8,000 total. Mike Teutsch August 25th, 2005, 05:26 PM Man, and here I sit only 4000 miles away in Southern Florida. You may have needed and old cratchity type guy too! Wish I could help. Best of luck, and I'm sure you find people to help in SoCal. Mike Greg Boston August 25th, 2005, 05:31 PM He did post a phone number as well as an email address. Perhaps he was expecting people to respond in that fashion. Probably doesn't know that he needs to come back and check here on further inquiries. -gb- Mike Teutsch August 25th, 2005, 05:34 PM He did post a phone number as well as an email address. But, let's hope so. Mike Greg Boston August 25th, 2005, 05:37 PM I think you are being very generous Greg! But, let's hope so. Mike Yeah, I still have faith in the human race sometimes. The info he posted does check out as David mentioned in an earlier post. Someone should call him and let him know that folks have more questions about the gear. -gb- Mike Teutsch August 25th, 2005, 05:50 PM Yeah, I still have faith in the human race sometimes. -gb- I applaud that, believe me, I do also. Mike Jason Chang August 25th, 2005, 06:22 PM Hi, Have you checked out Actor's Workshop in LA or San Diego yet? You can browse their actors' profiles for free. These are actors with extensive stage and some low-budget film acting experiences. Good luck! Jason Chang August 25th, 2005, 06:29 PM Kurt, Thanks for the reply. I can definitely wait until you get it back from Optex. Bill Keen August 25th, 2005, 06:36 PM both items sold, thanks for looking Joseph Benoit August 25th, 2005, 07:24 PM Hi Evan Sorry About My Reply I Live In The Ft.lauderdale Fla. Area To Be Exact Margate Fla If Still Interested Please Email Me Thank You Joe Christopher Go August 25th, 2005, 10:07 PM Up for sale is a brand new, still in the box, Century Optics .7X Wide Angle Lens, model number 0VS-07CV-75. This wide angle converter is fully zoom through and is compatible with the Canon 14X Manual XL Lens. I will include the wide angle lens and everything that came with the Century Optics factory box. I will also throw in a brand new Century Optics sunshade, model number 0VS-FA95-00, made specifically for Century Optics' .6X and .7X wide angle lens adapters. This sunshade holds one round 4 1/2" filter and provides a very inexpensive way of controlling light without the use of a high-end and costly mattebox. The .7X wide angle usually goes for $675 while the sunshade is $165. But you can have BOTH brand new, mint condition items for $700 plus shipping. Send me a private message or email if you're interested and would like photos of the items. Thanks! Kurtis Hemmerling August 26th, 2005, 05:26 AM I would like to buy a used PDX10 camera - the NTSC format. I live in Williams Lake BC and would like to buy from Canada only due to the savings of duty and other taxes. My brother and I are aspiring film-makers on a limited spending budget for now. My price range for the camera itself is about $1200 Canadian ($1050+ USD) or a little more pending on accessories. Almost new ones(15-20 hours) are going on E-bay for around $1550 CAD ($1275 USD) so this should be ballpark for one a little more used. I'm not as concerned about cosmetics. My e-mail is kurtan@telus.net and my name is Kurtis Hemmerling. Thanks for all responses. Also - Can anyone recommend a good camera(3ccd) in the same price range that has NATIVE 16:9 filming mode? Other cameras are nice but I am finicky about having good quality widescreen without anamorphic adapters or just letterboxing it. David Kidd August 26th, 2005, 01:37 PM I called and left a message but no response to phone or email Brian Miller August 26th, 2005, 01:45 PM I am selling my MA-300 Microphone Adapter. It is in pristine condition and works perfectly. I have owned it for about a year, and need to use the hot shoe on my GL-2 for other purposes. I am asking $120 plus shipping for it. Dimitri De Keukelaere August 26th, 2005, 02:15 PM Im searching for a canon xl1(s) or a canon xm2 PAL version Jesse Parsh August 26th, 2005, 02:52 PM I assume that this would also be good for the gl1. Brian Miller August 26th, 2005, 03:40 PM Yes, it works for the GL-1 too. It gives you two XLR jacks, and feeds the audio through the hot shoe on top of the camera. Shawn McBee August 26th, 2005, 04:08 PM This Item has been sold. Thanks! -Shawn Jed Williamson August 26th, 2005, 04:22 PM Any interest in a gently used Canon Optura 30 with extra battery? Brandt Wilson August 26th, 2005, 05:51 PM I'm interested. How much are you asking, and what comes in the package? Thanks. brandtvideo_at_verizon_dot_net Chayan Alavi August 26th, 2005, 07:12 PM Hi, Have you checked out Actor's Workshop in LA or San Diego yet? You can browse their actors' profiles for free. These are actors with extensive stage and some low-budget film acting experiences. Hi there, is there a phone number or place on the net to get in contact with this workshop? Thanks so much its been greatly appreciated. John Inman August 26th, 2005, 07:53 PM No longer available. Jason Chang August 26th, 2005, 08:12 PM hi, Please check out this link. If you do a Google search, you will find others. <http://www.actorsworkshopstudios.com> If you need more specific help, you need to provide us with more information about your project. For example, what is the age range you are looking for, what special skills do they need to have, etc. Actor's Workshop is always a good start. You'll find people who are truly passionate about this trade. Most of them will work for next to nothing if you have a good project. Again, for most people, it is never about the money; it is always about showing off their talents. Jason Chang August 26th, 2005, 08:18 PM Kurtis, The PDX-10 does NOT have a 16x9 chip; therefore, it does NOT produce "Native" 16x9 images. For $1100-1200, you are going to have a hard time finding a good PDX-10. Have you thought about getting a Sony PD-100A. You might get it for just $1,000. You then can spend an extra $350 or so on a 16x9 adaptor. Just a suggestion. Boyd Ostroff August 26th, 2005, 08:30 PM This is really just semantics. The chips are not in the 16:9 shape, however they are megapixel. This gives them more than enough resolution to provide the full 480 lines needed for 16:9 without compromising vertical resolution. The XL-2 works the same way. The Sony HC-1000 uses the same chips and does 16:9 the same way, but it has other compromises which make it more "consumery." The Panasonic GS-400 also has the same chips (or at least the specs are the same) and can produce high quality 16:9. Again, it's a consumer camera without DVCAM, XLR's or some of the other pro features of the PDX-10. Torrey C. Harris August 26th, 2005, 08:42 PM if possible would like to talk to you about both 17 inch monitors and dvi adapter. torrey 1-225-315-6677 Chris Hurd August 26th, 2005, 09:27 PM Boyd is quite right; the PDX10 does indeed produce native 16:9 images. Anyone who argues differently simply does not know the camera. Kyle Thomas August 26th, 2005, 11:33 PM $1400, anybody before i ebay it? I personally think that if you list it here it should have price that would filter out those who think you're being unrealistic with what you want out of a piece. Saves everyone a lot of heartache. Please email: idvfilms at hotmail dot com Mike Toledano August 31st, 2005, 02:22 PM Hi I am selling one NTSC Panasonic PV GS70 3ccd camera. It works perfectly, and looks like new. I've only owned it for just over a year, and paid about a thousand, but I'm selling it to put some money towards a Sony Fx1. The camera is a 3CCD miniDV camera, so the colours are terrific, especially for outdoor shooting. The camera is also very small and user friendly. It is also capable of taking pictures at a 1.2 megapixel resolution, and also functioning as a web cam. It comes with all original accesories (even the original box and manual), a UV filter, and over a year and a half of a warranty from henrys (which is valid anywhere in North America via your local repair shop, and is completely transferable). The camera has an abundance of manual controls, as well as a focus ring. It's basically the PVGS65 with a focus ring. It can be used for pass through to transfer old vhs tapes to digital media, etc. I'm asking $600 US, paid via check, or paypal and shipped in North America. Thanks for looking. |
