I looked for that Dell XPI, trying to find some specs, and had no luck. I emailed that person, and asked what was in it. To this she replied "Windows 98". I then said I wanted to know what size the HD was, the processor speed, memory, did it have a cd drive? She responded "Dude, it is just a cheap laptop, no cd drive..."

Anyone familiar with this model?

My priorities have shifted over to still photography (for now), so it's time for my GL2 to go. I'd estimate usage at right around 100 hours, including both playback/capture and shooting time. Always babied, kept in the case, no visible dents/damage/scratches, only ever used Panasonic Pro tapes.

This package includes:

-GL2
-All included accessories: Strap, lens cap, lens hood, BP-915, A/V cable, Charger/power supply, remote, both eyecups, manual
-CasesPlus custom fitted hardside GL2 case, grey (this is the one Zotz sells, guess how I know that...)
-3 BP-945 batts (2 Canon, 1 3rd party)
-Extra 3rd party battery charger (wall or car power)
-Tiffen UV Protector
-Canon VL-3 video light
-Sony dry cleaner tape

Image available at:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dawt/30178987/

Asking: $1500 shipped UPS 3 day or FedEx 3 day (buyer's choice), payment via USPS Money Orders or Paypal (buyer covers 3%). I'm in the Portland, OR area, local inspection/pickup welcome.

Also available: Libec M-20 Tripod. Perfect match to GL2. Dark grey, includes carry case. Also blemish free. No picture handy, but email me if you want one. Asking: $100 if purchased with the camera, if the camera goes without it I'll offer it for $140 shipped.

Glad to answer any questions or provide additional shots. Use email "brian dawt dickman aht gmail dawt com"

I have a Varizoom VZ-TFT (5.6") with a battery, Charger and sunhood... It's in brand-new condition (It's seen maybe 15 hours of use ever) and comes with a carrying case. It would cost you about $389 new, so I'll let it go for $289. If you're interested, email me at jedibugs@comcast.net

You can see Varizoom's page for the product here:

Hope this helps,

I've just finished a film, and have sold several hundred copies, and the film is being entered in film festivals all over.

My problem was how to quickly and reliably mass duplicate my DVD at home (on the cheap).
http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/duplication.html

After about a month of R&D I figured it out, and it ASTONISHED me what I came up with-- reliable 3 simultaneous DVD burns, on 8X media, in my mid tower PC. Nothing really outrageous-- 3 normal hard drives, 3 burners from Best Buy, typical software. My media costs me 15 cents each, and I buy merely 50 at a time.

My FIVE HOUR DVD (a full 4.69 GB)-- burns in 7 minutes, 3 at the same time. YOW!

No where, no where, NO WHERE have I found instructions that show how I've set this up, nobody seems to no how this is done, so apparently I've done the exploring.

This information is relevent to people burning SINGLE or DOUBLE burning systems as well.

Yes, others have explained how to set up multiple burning systems- one I saw on the web suggested 6 hard drives, 6 burners, and good god, where are you going to put all that, and at what cost???

I see nobody talking about the duplication speeds I run every day, on 8X cheap media no less.

The hard part was configuration of it all- and there seems to be only ONE way to do this.

I am happy to share this information for a little bit of support.

Please see my page, along with links to a lot of other free DIY projects.

Hope this is of interest and help to people.

Hi Neil,

Just to be clear here, you're selling the white paper that you prepared, a document which describes how you've configured your PC for burning three DVDs simultaneously.

I have no problem with you wanting to sell this, but your post really belongs in our Private Classifieds forum since it is a "for sale" item. Or call it a donation, or support, or whatever you want, but you're asking for money in exchange for information, so I've moved this to our Private Classifieds area for that reason.

I left a re-direct link behind in the DVD forum where you originally posted. Hope this helps,

Neil Slade

Neil,

Interesting idea. I'll have to look more into that for personal projects.

But i was looking for the 3x wide angle lens for the XL1s, not an adapter. after along talk with my DOP, we agreed on a real wide angle lens instead of simulating one.

Neil Slade

by all means, if you can afford a good lens, its easier than making one.
This was for a GL1 also, the XL1 lens is a bit bigger.

I did make a 72mm lens for my DVX that has worked exceedingly well- but I don't know if that's big enough for your camera
http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/DVXlens.html

Again, significant money saved if you've got the time. If you've got the dough, easier to just pay cash.
