Ryan Nowosielski January 6th, 2005, 01:19 PM yeah , i'm pretty impatient. and i usually make alot more off ebay anyways. David Stone January 6th, 2005, 02:31 PM I live in Vancouver, Canada and I'm looking to buy one of the above cameras. I would purchase from one of our sponsors but I have found that the cost of customs and shipping is prohibitive. Anyone suggest a local supplier so I can avoid the border hassle? If so, please provide the price and brand of the filters. Dylan Couper January 6th, 2005, 06:03 PM Don't worry, if our dollar keeps climbing.... :) Personaly, I'm not a big fan of any local shop that carries the XL2, so I won't endorse any. If I had to buy it local, I'd pick the camera shop on Granville that starts with an "L", but I'd hate myself after. I do like Lorne Lapham's, and they carry the DVX100, but they are one of the more expensive places. They'll treat you well though. Check out www.henrys.com in Toronto. It's like Canada's B&H although a little more expensive. Last time I checked out prices, it was still cheaper to order from B&H or one of the other sponsors in the US. I think B&H's price is down to $4300us now, which makes about $5100cdn, while most Canadian sellers prices I've seen float around $6000. Customs isn't really an issue, I've bought big ticket items from the US before, and you'll pay tax on it one way or the other. Rob Jacobs January 6th, 2005, 06:13 PM I imagine right after christmas is probably the worst time to try and sell something. If it doesn't sell within a couple weeks I'll probably just take it off the market or post on ebay. Rus May January 6th, 2005, 07:23 PM Still up for sale. Sorry for not checking in so often. Price is now $1900. Everything has been packaged since I put it up for sale, so it's still in dead-mint condition. It's a great deal. Email me or we can talk over phone. If you're in the area, feel free to stop by. Stephen Sawchuk January 6th, 2005, 09:19 PM Greetings, I have a 6 month old Sony DCR-VX2100 that I'd like to trade for a used DVX100a. The camera is in perfect condition; has been well cared for since day one. A total of 12 hours are on the camera, and everything works as good as new. There's never been a need for repairs, or even a problem that was too small for a repair. Original box, manual, and other accessories included. Variations: - The VX2100 is for sale. If you would like the camera, feel free to make an offer. - Sell me your DVX100a! If you have a DVX100a you want to get rid of, please post/send me the details! For questions, pictures, and more information, you can reach me at sawchuk@runtwo.com. Thanks for your time, Steve Sawchuk Jeff Toogood January 6th, 2005, 10:04 PM Here's some pictures of the package I took tonight http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-1.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-2.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-3.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-4.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-5.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-6.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-7.jpg http://www.digitaliso.ca/gl2-8.jpg Bob Harotunian January 7th, 2005, 09:01 AM I have 2 Canon BP-930s, 1 Canon BP-945 and a Lenmar Mach 1 quick charger for sale. These batteries have less 10 hours of use and are guaranteed to be in perfect working condition. Original cost $379.00 and yours for $125.00 plus shipping. bobh@beaconvideo.net Patrick Moreau January 7th, 2005, 09:06 AM sent you an email. Rob Mitchell January 7th, 2005, 10:49 AM Hi Bob, I'll take them. I sent you an email with contact info. Thanks Rob Greg Wolfinger January 7th, 2005, 11:24 AM Well, I got a job that requires me to travel 100% and therefore have to part ways with my G5. I never get a chance to use her anymore, let alone sit down and launch FCP HD. All the details are posted on sandiego.craigslist.org--so just click the link below. I really wanted to sell it locally so I didn't have to deal with shipping/paypal/internet sales in general, but the DV Info community has always been good to me. Let me know if you have any questions. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/sys/54722470.html - for complete specs and pictures Gale Smith January 7th, 2005, 01:07 PM Make me a reasonable offer. David Stone January 7th, 2005, 01:42 PM Thanks for the info Dylan! I started phoning around and I contacted Brian Boz at Lorne Lapham's. He told me that they just recently dropped the price of the DVX100A to $4199 which I think is a great deal. It is comparable to what I would pay ordering from EVS after shipping and taxes. The down side is Canadian sales do not include magic bullet which retails for about $300. I decided to buy it locally athough my second choice would have been EVS. I think we should get Lorne Lapham's to become a sponsor. I'm going to mention it to Brian and Lorne. Charles Papert January 7th, 2005, 02:01 PM David, any interest in buying a carefully maintained used DVX100a by any chance...? Chris Hour January 7th, 2005, 03:37 PM Hi Michael, Do you need a cable with a "cigarette" adaptor on the end or a straight extension with a female and male end? I may have one lying about, please let me know what you need. Chris 2020av@canoemail.com Alex Chan January 7th, 2005, 06:43 PM Glidecam Pro 2000 for sale, just use once. Including box and manual. $250US. please contact Alex alexchanmusic@hotmail.com Thanks Bradley D. Theiss January 7th, 2005, 08:40 PM Items has been listed on ebay, check it out over there. Dylan Couper January 7th, 2005, 09:00 PM For what it's worth to interested buyers, I purchased a Canon 10d off Jeff a little while ago. He shipped it in record time and it was in superb condition. I wouldn't have any hesitation buying from him again. Pete Wilie January 7th, 2005, 09:09 PM Glen, That's the same price as a brand new one at B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=193812&is=REG). Patrick Moreau January 7th, 2005, 09:52 PM Still available and i have pics on request. Jeff Toogood January 7th, 2005, 11:02 PM Thanks Dylan It's upgrade time for me again. AJ Silverman January 8th, 2005, 01:53 AM Also available is the Matox RT.X100 Extreme including Premiere Pro 1.5, DVD Encore, and Audition. I will let the unit go for $3800. Michel Brewer January 8th, 2005, 01:57 AM I hope all is well with you as well, will give you a shout next time I am there. Happy New Years! Michel Michael Best January 8th, 2005, 08:18 AM Thanks for the response Chris. I just built a 4-pin female to cigarette lighter adapter last night. I found one place in town that carries the 4-pin xlr's and realized they were pretty cheap to make. What do you have? Adam Lubkin January 8th, 2005, 10:17 AM Charles, you've got mail. Thanks to Chris Hurd and this forum for providing this service *CANON GL1 IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IT HAS BEEN SOLD* --William William Velasquez January 8th, 2005, 09:00 PM Glen, I live in Los Angeles county area and I'm interested. I have some questions. 1) You mentioned you have FCP HD installed on your G5, what other software does it come with if any? 2) With the purchase of the G5 are you also including the CDs and license for FCP HD and other software that comes with it? 3) Apple is selling a dual 2.0 Ghz G5 for $1,900 (*refurbished) with 90 day free support and one year warranty. Why are you asking for $2,500 for a used G5 without support and warranty? *What are Apple Certified Reconditioned Products? Apple Certified Reconditioned Products are pre-owned Apple products that undergo Apple's stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale. These products have been returned under Apple's Return and Refund Policies. While only some units are returned due to technical issues, all units undergo Apple's stringent quality refurbishment process. (According to Apple's website) Here's Apple's link to verify the selling price I mentioned - scroll down to find the dual 2.0 Ghz G5 http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71701/wo/sg6T9kzoRDkp2fYWfaXMff1mZMv/0.0.11.1.0.6.61.0.0.0.0.0.0.3.1.1.0?75,54 Here's Apple's explanation of what's a refurbished computer http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/apple_certified.html Please provide the answers to my sincere questions. If the price is right I may buy it from you and pick it up myself. --William Josh Brusin January 8th, 2005, 10:16 PM the link to apple's store has timed out but I'll vouch for dual 2's at 1999... they also sell the orginal dual 1.8 that allows for 8gb of ram for 1799... not to mention this Tuesday all sorts of new stuff coming out... upgrades to towers and powerbooks not to mention my speculation that we'll see: iHome - G4 home entertainment unit iPhone sonething... itunes over the phone... a new iPod flash based player.
