Hmmm, very interesting, Panasonic with a software update for the 300 that compensates for stills camera flash strobe issues due to its CMOS sensor.

I saw this as well and it looks very effective. More to the point, Panasonic is stressing that it will permit the end user to do the firmware update in the field.

Sony firmware innovation/new features seems to have evaporated this year???
Sony must loose its hang-ups with end-user firmware upgrades!!!

Yes, I agree, Sony announcements are a bit thin on the ground this year. Actually make that very thin on the ground. Have they actually announced anything unknown at NAB this year?

Im liking the 300 more and more, shooting 25p and using FBC i cant see many issues with it anymore. Hopefully they can implement a skew fix for all the 24p users.

Whoa..great advancement there! Certainly takes away that downside of CMOS.
