We all know about the 1D MK II. I know everybody wants to know what is next, I only want to know if more is to come this year? PMA has come and gone and I think Photokina is this year. A person could wait forever for the camera they want but if it is close to the announcement time of new stuff I would like to wait and see whats new. So are we there yet or is photokina going to be another round of whats new???
Thanks

The rumor is the 10D will be replaced (and ship) this summer or fall. A replacement for the 1Ds may be announced at Photokina.

It seems the use of similar sensors saves money, I hope that any new version of the 10d has the 8 MP sensor. I don't need the speed of the MK II but would like the 8 MP.

Canon usually releases a slew of new cams in March / April, and then another batch in August / September. Supposedly they're announcing 20 new digicams this year. We had 8 at PMA including the Mark II. So there's more coming, I'll bet... but later in the year.

Thanks, I think I will just sit back and wait for about 8 months and see what happens.
