Heath McKnight March 1st, 2004, 07:18 AM Salim, You can do a search for that specific camera here on our board. It's called the JVC GR-PD1 and I don't believe it's HDV. heath Salim Aziz March 1st, 2004, 11:26 AM Thanks for the info, but I m still interested in the so called Hi-Def Palmcorder. As a TV stringer it would be a great excitement with such a small cam with high quality picture. Salim Phil Wright March 1st, 2004, 04:48 PM The 576p25 and 576p50 modes of the PD1 are HDV. However the GR-PD1 is not a PAL version of the HD10. It only delivers 720x576 resolution images in any of its modes although two are 16:9. Barry Green March 1st, 2004, 05:16 PM To put it another way: the PAL version does not include the option of shooting at 1280 x 720. Darren Kelly March 4th, 2004, 05:58 PM I can confirm the camera does not record an HD signal in PAL. Seems the countries involved have yet to determine their HD standard. It does shoot in Progressive mode in PAL, which does improve the picture quite a bit! Cheers DBK |
