Is it possible, after you have edited your clips, to render to a file with your NLE, and then use the FS1 as a source deck to play the new file?

I just got one of these. I'll have to give it a try.

Right now to make a DVD i'll output a file to tape and then re-import through Final Cut Pro in order to create the necessary files that's used to encode through iDVD 2.

If I can do this without tape, it would save a bit of wear and tear on my deck.

The only problem is that Media 100 expects to see a particular deck at the other end of the firewire cable in order to master to tape.

I'll test it and post the results.

Hi Dean,

Sorry for the late reply. It is possible to connect FireStore to your NLE and playback the production from the timeline and record to FireStore in any DTE file format. The FireStore device can then be used as a playback device.

Hope that helps.
