Hi, looking to buy extra batteries for the gs-100 and am confused as to which ones will work. Based on what I found here, the gs-70 batteries are compatable- like the Panasonic CGA-DU21, right? Any info appreciated as I need some batteries now for Mardi Gras! Thanks.

Are you going to buy the batteries in Japan, where you live, or in the USA, where you are going?

I'm in the states now so would like to purchase here. Still not sure what to get.

There used to be a gs100k accessories thread which may have all that info. I believe a number of people were finding it cheaper to buy from someone at e-bay. The gs100k yahoo group members may also have suggested sources.

GS100 and GS70 use exactly the same battery.
Model no. in the US is not the same as in Jap but if the CGA-DU21 works for the GS70, then its gonna work fine for the GS100. Just get the biggest on-cam batt that fits.
Have you checked the batt seller in HK?
For equivalent batteries, try to check sabahoceanic.com.

I bought the du-21 bat from B&H along with some tapes and a bag. works fine and should last longer than the one supplied.
