When editing in Avid Xpress Pro, we get an error: pmm_insufficient_media with some of the clips at the FS-3. It looks to me as it only happens with short clips (5-10 sec.).
According to Avid this error occurs when there is reserved a bigger amount of space to a clip, than the clip actually uses...
Why is this happening with FS-3?
We use the disk mainly for broadcast - sport events with very little editing time before sng-linking - and is very happy with it - if it wasn't for those errors... can anybody help?

Just some more info on our setup:
Ikegami HLV-77W DVCAM Camcorder with FS-3 (PAG)
FS-3 digitizes as AVID OMF - we let FS-3 organize files for AVID.
Edit: Apple Powerbook G4, 1 GHz, 512MB RAM
Avid Xpress Pro 4,1,1.

Hello Claus,
Some Avid users have been seeing this problem and we should have a fix in the FireStore firmware which will be available for download shortly. I'll post to this site when available.
As a workaround for now, if you trim the in and out points of the clip, they will play fine in the timeline.

Thanks, I'm very happy about that. When do you think the update is ready?
We really enjoy working with FS-3, and without pmm_insufficient_media errors FS-3 is a very very good product!
Best Wishes

Hi Claus,
Sorry for the delay. The latest version 1.2 firmware is now available for download from the Focus website. This problem is fixed in 1.2. We also have some new features!

Also, be sure to set your camcorder to DVCAM mode and not DV- SP mode when shooting. On DVCAM camcorders, this Avid error may sometimes appear if DVCAM mode is not used.
Hope this helps,
