View Full Version : Magic Bullet and HDV Glenn Gipson February 12th, 2004, 05:30 AM Can Magic Bullet's Look Suite be applied to HDV (JVC HD10) footage? Adam Burtle February 14th, 2004, 01:30 AM i see no reason why it couldnt. if you have some footage in mind, i could apply it to 1-2 second for you as a test. *WITH HD Magic Bullet.. not SD edition Glenn Gipson February 14th, 2004, 07:58 AM Thanks for the offer, but I don't own an HDV camera, I was just curious to know. Red Giant Software got in contact with me, they said that if HDV can be used in After Effects, then it PROBABLY can work with Magic Bullet. Adam Burtle February 14th, 2004, 07:46 PM as far as i know, magic bullet film look can be applied to ANY footage either.. 720x480 (and probably pal SD resolution too) in the SD version, or ANY DARN SIZE you want, in theHD version. I have applied film looks to slide show composites at 2560x1920 before, and not had a problem. If you intend to use the "magic bullet" to deinterlace to 24p or 30p or whatever.. you obviously need to have an interlaced framerate.. so as long as the HDV camera shoots interlaced, you could use MB to convert to 24p too as far as i know. Even if it only shoots progressive, you can still letter box, film look, broadcast tools, etc.. (as far as i know) |
