There's been at least 2 occasions where I was trying to white balance in a hurry and zoomed into fill the frame but the zoom said no, hell no (or something like that) and zoomed back out. This happened repeatedly. I wound up just selecting "A" and started shooting. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
TIA,
Randy

Can't say that I've seen that happen. What were you using to zoom in? I've seen the onboard zoom control override a remote. Stuck button maybe?

Hey Edward, I didn't know you were an XL1 guy... anyway,
I was using the zoom toggle on the handle and before I would release it, it started zooming back out. I have to admit though, every time this has happened I've been in a hurry and haven't had time to really try to figure out what the heck was going on.
Thanks,
Randy

Yep, have 3 XL-1 cameras and access to a GL-2.

Never had this problem either, just so you know.

Oh well, perhaps next time I'll have time to analyze it a little better...at least take note as to which cam it is.
Thanks guys,
Randy
