Anyone run across a VST plugin for Peak DV on the Mac that will do what the iZotope Vinyl plugin does in the Windows world. It has an interface full of sliders for record warp, frequency limitation, dust and scratches, and the like to take a clean track and mess it up to sound like old radio or records. I figure life is too short for me to figure out how to reinvent that wheel.

Check out WAVES. It's quite a bit more, but in the Native bundle there are tools that do this for you as presets.
www.waves.com Comes as VST or AU. Runs great in FCP too.

Thanks Doug, I'll check WAVES out. What did people ever do in the days before on-line forums?

They met at concerts, music stores, and conventions to exchange information. While these communities are great, they absolutely don't replace seeing folks in person.
Just as an aside, I see Chris Hurd around the web all the time. But nothing compares to seeing him in person and receiving a handshake strong enough to crush a full can of beer. If you can, get out and meet folks in person; it's a lot more fun!

Yeah, it was something of a rhetorical question. You are right, and I have seen some posts by folks that I would really like to meet in person - they show wisdom in addition to knowledge. Still and all, to have seriously knowledgeable people willing to share so easily on-line with novices like I am is a great asset.
