I want to record a conversation between two people (In different locations) through a cell phone at one location. I've tried hooking up my computer microphone to my GL2 and recording with that, but even with the left audio level (Only records on the left channel) boosted all the way up it is very hard to hear both of the speakers together. Is there a certain filter you can use to make regular audio sound more "phone conversation like?"
Thank you and have a happy new year!

First you may want to look into the Cell Tap by JK Audio.

Another idea is to do a voiceover in that part, edit it in cool edit pro by applying a filter to make it sound like a cell phone.
That would probably be much easier than tapping into the cell phone.

You could even record sound on your computer using the cell phone codec. I am in Europe, so we use GSM system.
GSM codec is supported by several programs. Saving in your local cell phone systems codec, should bring you very close to "the real thing"
