Hey all,
Okay, so looking at the Vaio JS290 (E7400) versus the no-longer-in-production JS190 (E8400), it looks as though the 190 was more powerful...not sure why they scrapped it (though I read somewhere that the E7400 overclocks nicely, at least up to 3 Ghz). In any case, since I'm left with the 290, I have Vegas Pro 8 and am wondering if that's a good combo to have for computer and sofware. I own a JVC GY-HD110U (720p) so that's where the video will come from. I chose Sony's Vaio simply because of Sony Vegas Pro and a good review from cnet on the 190 (meaning I'm not locked into Sony, it's merely a slightly educated first choice). So, will the Vaio JS290 with its 2.8 Ghz (E7400) Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB RAM be enough? I'm intrigued by these all-in-one computers that nix the hulking tower and keep most of the power, giving you some serious portability without taking the laptop route and paying more.
Thanks in advance.
