Smurfy, small mixer , very lightweight and what i think are premium components. Has 48 volt phantom, selectable gain for output . This unit looks to be serious stuff.$400

This is the mixer that Carlos mentioned
The marenius with 3 inputs and two outputs come in a 18volt phantom ($340) and a 48 volt phantom for $400. It's available at www.markertek.com
The mm3100 http://www.marenius.se/indexeng.htm
The PSC MJR mini mixer, will attach to a tripod mount.

Sound devices have a single channel offering the MM1 and MP1. This stuff is priced $300 to $350. This product is premium.

The mix pre, mix pre USB and the 302 mixer are top of the line but those products range from $700 to $1050
All of this stuff is a big step above the samson mixpad and other low cost mixers . The quality is in line with the Beachtek merchandise but goes a whole lot further. The beach is passive and can offer phantom. This stuff has mic pres, low cut filters, limiters, 48 volt phantom, selectable output gain, the whole 9 yards in a robust and portable package.
I own a Sound devices 302 but I'm thinking of buying a small single channel unit as well.
