Don Berube December 16th, 2003, 10:35 PM hehehehe Devin Doyle December 17th, 2003, 12:01 AM Good writing Michael. I especially enjoyed the "I wanna live without regret." line. The end was very reminiscent of "Final Destination" - such a horrible flick. I'd be interested in knowing how you did that effect. I'm assuming it was a locked off cam with one shot of the car and another of the poor guy. Also, did you use a stabilizer for those tracking shots? If so, which one? Anyways, good work! Zac Stein December 17th, 2003, 01:10 AM speaking of shorts, i really enjoyed this one. http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/road_kill zac Ross Weinshenker December 18th, 2003, 08:28 PM Devin, how would you combine the 2 images without chroma'ing one out? I've been having trouble with this for some time. I've filmed 2 shots with different images, and wanted to merge the 2, with minimal success. I'm using Premiere 6.5 by the way. Devin Doyle December 18th, 2003, 08:41 PM Ross, sounds like you need to check out after effects. I tried to avoid it for as long as i could - due mostly to the intimidating interface! One day I just decided to dive in though, and I've never looked back. I couldn't cut video anymore without it. In AE you can use the pen tool to create masks and easily composite video. I cloned myself in AE with moving masks just to test the program out (and myself for that matter) with much success. I suggest you check it out. I know this topic is kinda off from the thread, but hey, I'm here to help! Lemme know if you need some advice or tips! Richard James December 21st, 2003, 09:14 AM Very good looking film... Anyone know how you would get such a strong film effect as was found in this film, apart from lighting/frame mode, anyone know what was done in post? Thanks:) Steve Olds December 21st, 2003, 11:00 AM I thought the film was a good one! J. Clayton Stansberry December 21st, 2003, 12:47 PM What are you guys using to watch it? Real, WMP,??? I can't get a decent picture and it keeps locking up...thanks...I want to watch it! Don Berube December 21st, 2003, 01:05 PM You can always download the clip from http://www.triplefinger.com/noregrets to your hard drive first and then play it. - don Harry Doyle December 21st, 2003, 11:31 PM i would be interested in checking out other shorts shot on the gl1/gl2. if anybody knows of any, please post.
