I recently looked at some of the new Lowepro Nova line cam bags. They are a little nicer than my old older Nova 5. However, I had heard that these new ones where going to come with a built-in rain jacket, but they don't. Lowepro does make the jackets, though, you just have to buy them seperately. (Bad news and good news.)

I also got their new catalog, and I am amazed at their product line---yes, you can spend BIG BUCKS for some of their bags---they even make a waterproof cam bag (learnt something new). :-)

For my video and still cameras, I have the following Lowepro bags: Sideline Shooter, Specialist 80AW and D-RES 220 AW, a small pouch, for accessories.

Tatonka sports pretty good stuff, too, and at very affordable prices.

There has been comments from some of my friends that the AW (all weather) built in jacket is not too convenient, given the sudden downpours in Singapore. A garbage bag thrown over the camera bag may be faster to sheild from the rain!

A garbage bag thrown over the camera bag may be faster to sheild from the rain!Would that be a "Glad" garbage bag?

Just want to add, although the new Lowepro Nova line is now made in China, and its outer shell fabric feels thinner, their prices have risen---but probably just as stong, I presume. However, the inside padding seems to be a bit thicker, and the design a bit more ergonomic.

No, not "Glad", just the typical black or green ones. There are so many convenient trash cans in Singapore taht you are never 10m away from one! hahahaa

I have found in the UK the Samsonite Trekking D-V1 to be perfect for the MX8. Well padded, just enough space for spare batteries, tapes etc. The first link i could find:

The band is a different colour on mine.

The wifey is getting me a red Lowepor Micro Trekker 200 backpack for Christmas. $59 USD and it should easily hold my 10D, GS100, and one large accessory (extra lens or 420ex flash).

Tommy, it sounds like your wife has something in common with mine, generosity. Each time my wife comes along to a cam shop, she's gotta buy me something, even if it's only a filter and a roll of Delta 400. Nice bag, by the way.

I checked out those Lowepro Reporters---good soft bags to attach to your belt, but too soft my my tastes. I prefer the the more padded, stiffer Nova bags. Plus they're cheaper in price.
