Hey, as an owner of the dvx I couldn't be happier. I see there is no forum here for jvc stuff except their 1 chip hd jobber. I just was editing some footage I shot over the summer with the jvc streamcorder at a Cubs game on the field before the game, and viewing it on my large flat screen tv it looks fabulous. It is also great in low light, as I shot some footage in a shady skybox later on. The video quality though, even though only 60i, is in my opinion amazing and almost as good as the WGN Cubs broadcast. I couldn't tell it was a prosumer camera looking at the footage. I was wondering if anyone out there ever had the chance to use the jvc streamcorder and what they thought about it? It kind of never took off it seems. The ability to convert on the fly one's video into streaming quicktime I guess wasn't enough of a selling pt. If it weren't for the plastic body I would have been inclined to pick one up . it has xlr input and the video quality is terrific imo. At a price not far from the gl2, it seems like a camera more in line with the dvx or pd150. If only it weren't made of plastic.
