Does anyone know how much a DVX100 would be without a warranty and where good sources (Japan, Hong Kong?) would be? This could be an import camera. I would buy from Zotz, but I'm going to be doing some tinkering that would void the warranty anyway.

I'm also looking into the PDX10 and HD10U for the same thing, so if anyone has insight towards these cameras as well, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Wow, someone who *wants* a grey-market camera! Of course, if you're going to void the warranty anyway, I guess it makes sense.

My guess would be to do an epinions-type search and start calling the dealers with the lowest prices. They're often grey-market. Or find that PC World article from a few months back where they exposed all the grey-market sellers.

It will be interesting to see wich g-market sellers people would *recommend*! (I'm assuming that buying a DVX direct from a Japanese retailer wouldn't be much of a savings after shipping and duty costs, etc, so you'd have to go w/ local grey-market)
