Hello,

I have to film a job next week with my EX3, the company wants to record straight to their desk, from my cam, but they said they need a composite out video feed, so what is the best way to give them that, no sound needed. Is there any other way to use SDI OR RGB out puts so they can take a better feed, but still use a composite out.

Or do i just give them the feed from the monitor out, it that the same res as a std composite out.

What i am asking, it seems a waste, such a good camera to out put composite out.

The vision, out of their desk, will be going to a big screen next to the stage as well.

Rob.

Monitor Out is composite, but the downconverter on the EX is not the greatest. Usable, but never designed for broadcast application. You can select crop or squeeze to get your widescreen 16:9 image into 4:3.
A higher quality option is an external downconverter connected to the SDI out. Have a look at this one. Redbyte Design - Products DECIMATOR (http://redbyte.com.au/products-thedecimator.html)
