I have 40 .m2t's captured on my HD.
The next step (I'm told) is to use mpegtxwrap to demux.
I tried I am getting error messages - can anyone give me a step process on how to batch these to m2v's?
Thanks!!

Steve, I don't know if mpgtxwrap will batch process files, I've not been able to do that, only one at a time, but please let me know if you find a way to do that. I also haven't been able to get it to split files as it says it will, but it seems to demux flawlessly on both my dual G4 and my G5, but just one file at a time.
By the way, I'm finding that the shareware utility called MM2C is a good alternative for converting the .m2v files to other Quicktime formats (without crashing on large files).

Mpegtxwrap does not (to my knowledge) batch convert. The list is for chunks (parts to be reassembled).

Paul, where can I download the MM2C shareware utility?
I was not having problems converting .m2v files using a G4 & X.2.8. However, when I switched to using a G5DP & X.3, I now get conversion crashes when a .m2v clip is longer than about 6 minutes. This occurs when converting to QuickTime with pixlet at best quality.
Clips shorter than 6 minutes still work fine.
Thanks,
Maury

Jus do a Google search for it, it's there. I'm getting the same thing when trying to do conversions to DV using mpeg2decx with clips over about 6 minutes, MM2C seems not to have the problem though.
