Hi,
I'm using wireless mic during ceremony and would like to use wired remote but of course some drunk designer put them in one input.
I've tired all Radio Shack spliters (5) and no luck

Some time ago I also wondered if some electronic guru can find a way to work around the GS100 proprietary mic/remote jack? Or just to make better remote which can be attached using the original cable (cutting off the original remote). Then we have adaptor jacks for the mic and the remote so one can make any combination with mics and the hand made remote.
Just recently I saw on the DVX users forum somebody made remote for DVX100 cam (it has single mini jack – 3 contact areas).

May be Mike you can contact the autor and see what can be made. I'm very interested in that too.

Has anybody found a solution? I did the Radio Shack trip too. No luck.

I too would be very interested in something that would allow the jack to be split. This is one of my only complaints about my 953.
How does the wired remote zoom feel to you guys?
Mine seems to have a slight "clicking" sound and feel about midway through it's stroke. It doesn't really sound like an indent in the slider -- it really sounds like something is catching inside.
It works fine, though. Just wondering if others sounded (felt) that way.
Thanks!

Personally, I like the wired remote. I can control the zooms more smoothly than by using the tiny on camera switch...

I agree with Peter but it would have been better if zoom control were variable through the remote control.
