Outside of health insurance, tax benefits, etc. has anyone found having a business license as an advantage when it comes to pricing on gear or the ability to buy wholesale? What about markups as well, how much room do retailers or our own sponsors of DVI.net have in regards to profit margins. Having worked in Volkswagen and Porsche sales I know the way margins can flutuate in that business, but what about professional electronics? I've got my business license and just wondering if I might be missing an "angle".

Ryan---unless you are buying in large quatnities, a business has little to no advantage when it comes to purchasing hardware---B&H is going to charge Joe Smith the same price on a DSR570 as it would charge Joe Smith Production Co. Setting up a business allows you to lease equipment, an advantage to many who dont want to make a big cash outlay at the getgo--again this depends on your financial health when you go out to get the lease.
