I purchased the HY10U from an online company which was offering the camcorder at a very good price, when I received the camcorder it did not have the editing software for it. After numerous phonecalls they are still not responding.
Does anyone know where I can purchase the Mpeg Studio Pro LE
editing software?
Thanks

Get to the bottom of it. I am sure JVC can fix this. Explain who you bought if from. Explain your lack of responce. And keep pushing. You will get what you deserve.
Also do you want to give the retailers name so we can avoid buying from them!

Hi there,
I just bit the bullet and paid $150.00 to JVC to send me the disc, the retailer was Broadway Photo in NY, thats the last time they have my business.

Hritik--Broadway and other New York outlets are notorious for charging for items that should be included with the original camera (batteries, AC adapters, lens caps etc...even manuals!!) The only New York outlet I would trust is B&H. They are very honest and usually have very good prices, though not as "good" as a place like Broadway might have. The point is that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Always check these places out on www.bizrate.com or a likeminded site. Check out Broadway on there and see what kind of feedback they have. Remember, you get what you pay for.

P.S. I'm pretty sure it was PC World Mag. that had a whole write up on all these scams running in New York, specifically Brooklyn. A lot of these places are literally fly by night. Do a google search for this article. VERY INFORMATIVE.

There is a website that has photos of these "dealers." Very scary.

I too recommend B&H very highly. It just isn't worth it to spend less.
