I would like to use my me66 shotgun on a jvc500, I have no problem with using the mic on a vx2000. But the mic set up is different on the JVC. I have tried to search for the mic adapter with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Ronald,
JVC makes a shock mount that fits into the two screw holes on the right side of the camera, about midway to the handle. But for a few dollars more, Lightwave makes a much better unit. Look them up on the net... I've heard rycote bought them, but I don't know if it is true.
I'm going to be selling my gy dv500, and taking the lightwave mount, which I used with an me66, off for sale seperatly. If you're interested, please email me. It has seen light field use and is abou 12 months old in perfect condition.

Ronald,
Take John's offer on the Lightwave mount since it is probably one of the best on-camera mounts out there.

I second that. Those things are worth their weight in gold.
