When I push stop and start pretty quickly, which I do quite often, it throws the unit into error.
I then have to shut it down and back on again. Which takes time.
When the unit goes into error I might not notice for a while which means I usually end up having to capture in from my tape after each job.

Im using the Transcend 133x 32gb. Could these be the reason I wonder?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Ger. I noticed that when I press Stop on my cam, the EVF shows a flashing symbol for the firewire link to the recorder. After a few seconds this stops flashing, indicating that the cam is ready to record again. I expect if you press Start while the symbol is still flashing there is a high chance of record error.

Hi Richard,
I have noticed a flashing light on the unit alright. I was thinking maybe the flashing was
due to the time it was taking to finish the .avi file on the card and that maybe a quicker card would cause this flashing to last less time.
I have adapted my recording habbits in recent times - I basically leave it recording long clips and cut it up later.
