Hi folks

For those of you who read "Videomaker", "DV", etc., you may have noticed Canon's 2 page ad featuring the Canon XL1s in all sorts of configurations. I was actually staring at those pages for good half hour!! The one that caught my attention is the one on the upper right hand corner where the Canon XL1s is outfitted with a shoulder brace, matte box, double hand grips, focus puller knob and what looks like a monitor riding on top of the handle.

Question is where can I buy the Matte box, the double hand grips and the shoulder brace?

I cannot seem to locate them on any of the Canon's vendors web sites.

Thanks

I don't have the ad at hand, but I believe they were showing a CAVision (http://www.cavision.com/) rig in that shot. Chrosziel also makes matte boxes that work with the XL1s.

Norman's talking about the ad on pages 6-7 of the Oct. 2003 issue of DV Magazine. The rig in question at the upper right of the two-page layout is an XL1S decked out with a variety of add-on's from Birns & Sawyer (http://www.birnsandsawyer.com/) in Los Angeles.

See my post about the XL1S screensaver (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15270). The control panel gives you all the details about each one of those XL1S configurations in those ads, what accessories are on each, etc. Hope this helps,
