You can PM me Cheers, DK Bryan McCullough April 7th, 2010, 01:46 PM First thing - this is not paid. The musician Ross King is holding a house concert this Friday night and I'm going to shoot it with my Canon DSLR. If anyone local wants to get some practice in with theirs let me know. I think it'll be a pretty cool shoot, but low key. It' this Friday night from about 8-10. bryanmc @ gmail.com Craig Coston April 8th, 2010, 02:31 PM If you can't find any private parties to get this stuff from, try EVS. EVS Online: Home page (http://www.evsonline.com) They rent gear out and are very reputable. The nearest airport to them would be Burbank. I have a field monitor and tripod, but I'm in Bakersfield, which is a couple hours north of L.A. in the wrong direction from Joshua Tree. Scott Hayes April 12th, 2010, 11:42 AM a slider, and a panasonic HMC 150 with extra batteries and cards for Saturday May 8, lexington, ky. please contact me at shayes@insightbb.com with your info. Jonathan Bufkin April 12th, 2010, 02:45 PM I miss hearing Ross King's music especially some "Sullivan's Flaw." I would do it if I lived in the area just to go to the show. This doesn't help you much but wanted to send a shout out. Have fun Bryan! Ray Bell April 12th, 2010, 08:52 PM just read the dates.. I guess it has passed by now... Ash Greyson April 14th, 2010, 08:51 PM Need to fill out crew on a tight budget shoot with some locals. Shooters need a P2 camera. PAs may be running a DSLR and helping to pull cords. 5 nights of shooting, no more than half days shooting live music. Looking for someone that want to have fun and build their reel, glidecam, slider, etc. a plus. These are all paid positions by the way! ash =o) email me AshG(AT)BrightBulb.tv Michael B. McGee April 16th, 2010, 02:03 PM Hey Guys & Gals, Since its been really, really slow for me this year I've had plenty of time to work on my networking skills. For example, I just want to let you know that if you have a project coming up and are in need of a Camera Operator/DP, I'm avail. I also have a Sony EX1 on hand to help sweetin' the deal. Thanks, Mike Jason Robinson April 18th, 2010, 05:11 PM We made some progress through these projects. I still need additional editors so if anyone cuts on Vegas and is looking for work, contact me! Ed Hecht April 19th, 2010, 01:29 PM Hi All, I hope this is the right place to ask. I have a shoot coming up in Atlanta and will be travelling with a minimum of gear (camera, sticks, tape stock, etc.) What I will need to rent is an ARRI light kit (150x2, 350, 650, 1000 which presumably includes scrims, gels, lightbox, etc). Just looking for a reliable place to rent from as I have no experience with any vendors in the ATL area. Many thanks in advance! Ed Stefan Immler April 19th, 2010, 10:03 PM Hi all -- I am looking for a videographer who would be willing and able to shoot a few scenes of Congo Square, New Orleans, in 720p. Low budget, I just need a few scenes. If interested, please drop me an email or call me: giganova AT giganova.com 202-531-9262 Thanks, Stefan Rick Jones April 20th, 2010, 08:54 AM Try Get A Grip Atlanta. They should have everything you need. Atlanta Films, Inc. also known as Get-A-Grip Atlanta offers Grip and lighting equipment and prodution crews (http://www.getagripatlanta.com/) Ed Hecht April 20th, 2010, 11:38 AM Thanks, Rick! Scott Hayes April 20th, 2010, 12:44 PM I need to rent a tripod, maybe two for a quick wedding in vegas. Afterwards, might do some scenic local stuff with the bride and groom. It would be easier to rent vs ship stuff ups. Chris Hurd April 20th, 2010, 01:48 PM Hi Scott, try Abel CineTech, our sponsor in L.A. -- see this page: DV Systems :: Tripods and Stabilizers :: Rental Equipment :: Abel Cine Tech (http://www.abelcine.com/store/DV-Systems/) Eric Stemen April 21st, 2010, 12:02 PM e-mail sent from my kertiscreative address. Let me know how my price sounds and if there's anything else I can do for you. Chris Davis April 21st, 2010, 01:50 PM I'm looking to avoid 12 hours of travel (and the client is looking to avoid paying for 12 hours of travel!) Easy shoot but you must have HD camera, decent audio and lighting. No editing - just shooting. email chris@famousdavispro.com Thanks! Ash Greyson April 21st, 2010, 04:43 PM Got my shooters, need someone to man some DSLRs and help wrangle cords. ash =o) Nicole Hankerson April 21st, 2010, 07:40 PM Or you could hire a light guy in Atlanta that has the equipment. Most light guys have that kit. If not you can try the following places. PC&E Day 1 Productions North Druid AV Nicole John McQuiston April 22nd, 2010, 10:28 AM I have Googled like crazy and have had no luck yet. I have relatives in Charlotte, NC who have some old home movie films that I need to get transferred to digital video -- not DVD, I want the digital files on hard drives -- for a family documentary project. Do you know anyone who does this kind of transfer in Charlotte? My aunt is leery of letting the films out of her sight so I'm pressed to keep this job local to her area. I will check this thread for replies but you can also contact me directly at johnmcq@hotmail.com. Mark Ross April 22nd, 2010, 01:42 PM That's pretty specialized work, and I think it's going to be very hard to find someone local to do that. These guys may be worth a shot: About - The Film Foundry (http://www.thefilmfoundry.com/contact.html) If I'm not mistaken, these are the same people who used to do business as Post Central and I remember them having a telecine and doing 35mm transfers. If they can't do it, they may be able to at least point you somewhere else. Good luck! If you happen to talk to a guy named Rick Eldridge there, tell him I said hello... :P Rick Jones April 22nd, 2010, 08:08 PM Our consumer half of the company does 8mm and 16mm film transfer. Digital frame-by-frame transfer. We're in Atlanta but have people send us stuff from all over the country. All work is done in house and we keep a backup copy "just in case" but we've never had one lost. We've been doing film transfer now for over 5 years. Give us a call at 877-VIDEO60 or check out our website at Georgia Videographer, Video Production in Atlanta, Videography (http://www.jonescovideo.com/filmtransfer.htm) Thanks, Rick James Fazzaro April 23rd, 2010, 02:56 AM Try Cinepost - High quality telecine, 8mm film and 16mm film transfer, DVD authoring design and Surround Sound Mixing (http://www.posthouse.com). This is the website for a Georgia based S8 transfer house called CinePost that I've used in the past. They can do DV transfers with hard drive backups. John McQuiston April 23rd, 2010, 08:28 AM Thank you for the replies. I don't think I'm going to be able to get the films sent away from Charlotte. If I could, there are companies local to me who do transfers, which is why I am surprised to have trouble finding someone in the Queen City who does it. Tim Harjo April 23rd, 2010, 06:17 PM The wedding is in Stockton. I live in Citrus Heights and we can travel together. My wife has been my second shooter, but she won't be able to attend. I need someone with experience. Including travel, count on an 8 hour day. The Pay is $250 If you want to use your own camera, it must be a 3 chip camera. I shoot SD on mini DV so yours must be compatible. If you use your own camera with a light, the Pay will be $300 instead of $250 Please include references. email Tim at: sacbulldogs@comcast.net -Tim Christopher Glavan April 26th, 2010, 03:04 PM Tim, Did you get my email? Haven't heard back, just wanted to confirm. Tim Harjo April 27th, 2010, 12:28 AM Yes, thanks! I sent you a reply earlier today. Rob Morse April 27th, 2010, 12:38 AM Create-a-Video in Charlotte does transfers. I had a bunch of 16 mm transferred to DVD. Create A Video (http://www.createavideo.com/) John McQuiston April 28th, 2010, 06:07 PM Rob, thank you. Are you happy with the results? How do the DVDs look? Rob Morse April 29th, 2010, 11:09 AM John, I was happy with it. It's old film and I'm not sure how well it was taken care of. With that said, I was happy to have it on DVD and the people viewing it were happy as well. Jun Tang April 29th, 2010, 03:45 PM Hi, I usually shoot locally in LA and rented from Wooden Nickel for lighting/grip equipment. I'll looking for a rental facility in San Diego that has the same rental policy. Where you can pay an addition percentage for insurance, preferably. If we have to get insurance separately...then where is a facility that has as much array of equipment as wooden nickel. thanks jun Rick Jones April 30th, 2010, 08:51 AM I need a second 5Dmk2 or 7D shooter for a triathlon at Reynolds Plantation this May 22. The actual shoot starts at 7AM and goes through 12 noon. We'll need to be there at 6AM. (I know, I hate early mornings too!) Sorry but I need experienced sports shooters with a variety of lenses. Don't need a full demo reel but at least have some good footage you can show me. Pay is $300. rick (at) jonescovideo (dot) com Jon Bickford April 30th, 2010, 05:54 PM depending on the shoot dates I can probably help you out. -Jon Nicole Hankerson April 30th, 2010, 11:42 PM Don't need audio coverage do you? Nicole ccproductions803@gmail.com Rick Jones May 1st, 2010, 08:44 PM Sorry, no. Will be using Zoom H4n for a few interviews. Otherwise just external shotgun mic fed straight into camera. Most footage is to be used as a highlight reel so not much sound is needed. Mostly music. Anmol Mishra May 2nd, 2010, 08:15 AM Found. Forgot to update the thread but film has been progressing the past few months with my little team Stephen Cognetti May 2nd, 2010, 10:06 AM Hello, we're looking for a good DP with equipment and lenses and experience in narratives for a short we're shooting in July in north east PA, close to Philly and NYC. We're putting together a crew now and hope to shoot for several days in July. The film is comedy, political satire. If interested send me a link to reel, equipment and rates: sac_189@yahoo.com thanks Nathan DuMoulin May 3rd, 2010, 03:58 AM I'm the owner of a small billiard-based production company. I founded the company only 18 months ago, working by myself to produce instructional and action bases DVD titles. Trailers for these titles can be found here: Venom Trickshots DVDs (http://www.runoutmedia.com/store/venom-trickshots-dvds/) Mastering Pool DVDs (http://www.runoutmedia.com/store/mastering-pool-dvds/) Within this 18 month period, my little company gained significant repute and is now recognized as the industry leader in video production. My DVDs are currently the top selling titles for this particular niche market, selling in over 60 countries. I've taken all my earnings and have sunk them back into the company, purchasing all my own equipment and saving up to fund a new project. I've also commissioned a sales/marketing guy and a camera operator to help me with this new idea, however I'm still short a PC-based video editor. I'm looking for someone who has time to invest, loves billiards, and has talent when it comes to editing. The project is a bi-monthly video magazine. We're filming 2 issues before it goes public, so this means that we're looking at 3-4 months of contract work before the money starts coming in. After that things become more regular. Here's the catch. My whole team is working on a very limited budget to get this project off the ground. Since we're low on cash, each person receives a percentage of sales once the project hits the market. I realize that in the world of independent production, this is a terrible proposition, as most projects don't make money. However these circumstances are drastically different as I produce sports content with a proven track record. Anyway, if you're interested, please PM me with your demo reel as well as your background info. I'll be happy to discuss the details of the project with anyone who messages me with a serious inquiry. Thanks, - Nathan DuMoulin Paul Cascio May 3rd, 2010, 06:42 AM As a billiards enthusiast, I'm familar with Nathan's work. It's quite good. Jawad Mir May 3rd, 2010, 08:06 AM I am looking for Cinematographer/Photographer for # of days towards the end of June and few days in July. I am looking for someone who can film and take photos as well. Must have 5D and XH A1 and other gear. There are two projects involved. One is more behind the scene coverage while other is of an actual event. If you want more info please pm me along with link to demo reel. Please Note: Only apply if you have demo reel. Thanks Vito DeFilippo May 3rd, 2010, 08:31 AM Email sent. Let me know if you don't get it. Thanks... Bruce S. Yarock May 3rd, 2010, 07:41 PM I'm in Fort Lauderdale, and will be comming up shortly. Yarock May 4th, 2010, 05:14 PM james, Could you email your number again? Bruce yarock@aol.com Greg Hogland May 4th, 2010, 07:28 PM Message sent for more information. Peter Manojlovic May 5th, 2010, 10:28 PM Good for you.... Although the best years of my life, and early employment was spent at the snooker hall, i've currently got a full time job that would probably conflict with your needs. If you're ever in the Hamilton area, and need a second cam, give me a shout. The editing seems standard issue, but unfortunatlely, i can't commit to a full time basis... Good luck, and congratulations.. Bill Heslip May 6th, 2010, 09:05 PM Possible day shoot within the next two weeks requiring an EXx, tripod, lav mic, interview lighting and a good eye ;-). Besides the single-setup interview(s), a fair number of hardware cutaways will be needed (90% ambient light). Jib would be a bonus for select accent shots, but not required. Crew of one preferred (a company rep will be at your service for the day for logistical and grunt work). Any interest or suggestions? Link to demo reel appreciated. Thanks! Bill Bruce S. Yarock May 7th, 2010, 05:13 AM Thanks, James. See you next wednesday. Bruce Yarock Thomas R. Smith May 7th, 2010, 02:13 PM I would be willing to commit of a full time basis.
