Hey, I might soon be working for a video company who use macs/FCP. My experience is with Windows/Vegas Pro/Premier. Can anyone give me some links to a good introduction site (I just want to know the basics). I tried Google, but I mostly found companies selling FCP courses.

Thanks.

Tutorials - Online Training - lynda.com (http://www.lynda.com)

it's not free but it's reasonably priced $25 a month and it includes hundreds of
other titles as well.

John,

I moved to FCP from Vegas a few years ago and wouldn't have been able to do it as quickly as I did without Lynda.com training. Larry Jordan does the FCP training and he puts things in very easy to understand terms and gets you used the interface quickly. It is $25 a month, but they do have some free tutorials you can watch for FCP that might give you some of what you need. The nice thing is they have training for every program you can imagine, so if this Final Cut gig doesn't pan out you can still join for a month and do some Adobe tutorials or something.

The underlined videos are free and there is a few on navigating the interface, setting up projects, etc.

Good luck.
