Did you ever see a tlc plate (thin layer chromatography)?
It was many years ago since i had one in my hand and dont remember clearly how it looks but there are some made by a sheet of glass covered with a perfect layer of microchrystaline cellulose in a very thin and flat layer. It would be great if someone could get one. I suppose it could be a great groundglass.
