Has anyone used these 2 cameras together in SD mode, and can you tell me if the picture is close. I was concered because one is CCD and the other is CMOS.

I used a PD150 and FX1000 and was surprised at how well they matched up. Not perfect but not bad. I ran the PD150 up front at a wedding and the Fx1000 from the back. If you don't have any other choices, it should work out fine, especially if you white balance them both.

In the dark reception hall they looked almost identical.

Jeff, My Z7 has a picture profile called "PD Color" which is supposed to match the color profile of the PD series camcorders. I don't know if the FX1000 has this or not but I would recommend using it if it does.

It doesn't but it would be great if you could post the individual settings within that PP so we could replicate.

I am not sure how much this will help since I don't think many of the settings are available on the FX1000.

Thanks, Greg. I only had PD150 in use with FX1000 for one event before I got a second one, hence I don't shoot with it anymore.

That is however very useful information, and while I wish I had known that before, I am currently editing that very event right now, and the footage is remarkably similar, so it worked out anyway.
