I have started having this weird problem whereby if I hit the space bar, or any of the play shortcuts, Playback takes about 10secs to start playing. Have tried hooking the external drive up via eSATA and USB...no change. Happens if the souce footage is on an internal drive as well. Not seeing anything hogging anything in task manager.

Seems to play two frames then stall...then starts after approx 5secs or longer. Very strange????

Any suggestions?

After an afternoon of dark mutterings and foul language, it would appear that there are evil forces at work in one of my usb devices. Will plug them in one by one until i find the culprit. Once identified, the offender had better look out!!!!!!
