I was curious to see how the AxioHD would treat the MXF files. C-D sent me a link to download a 50mbps long gop and 100 & 160 Mbps iframe files and I dropped them on a Matrox 1920 timeline.

The great news is that Axio sees the file as Matrox MXF. They plays RT with Matrox RT effects. I stacked three layers at 50% opacity and played them without dropping a frame. Convergent Design was impressed. Hell I was impressed!

David I tried the 50 meg long gop files on an adobe cs3 with axio le 3.6 system and could not get them to play.

what version are you using?

Yes, I should have mentioned that I tried them on Axio 4.0 release with Pr 4.01 under Vista64.

Ask C-D for links to files. I know that they're shooting new mxf clips.

I should also mention that the files I tried were 60i

I can confirm that a 100mbps long GOP 1080i/25 plays RT in Axio 4.

Two layers RT with 50% opacity and RT Matrox Advanced color correction on the bottom layer.
