I've shot a couple of interviews in 1080p24 with an EX3, I've noticed though that if I had a few cutaways that were shot in 720p30, the footage will be jerky and a little sped up. If I copy those clips into a 720p30 timeline, the cutaways are still jerky, I know this is probably because the clips are now conformed to 1080p24. Does anyone know what the proper workflow would be to eventually author to SD DVD? I'd like to work on a 1080p24 timeline as 98% of the footage is this format.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you,

Brian

If I was in your situation, I would take the 720 30p footage into After Effects (if you have it) and then use Video Copilots frame rate converter ( VIDEO COPILOT | After Effects Tutorials & Post Production Tools (http://www.videocopilot.net/presets/frame_rate_converter/) ), and convert the video to 24p, and then scale the video up in a 1080 24p composition and export.

Although you will loose quality on the scale up, it should no be that noticeable when you scale back down to deliver in SD.
