Do you guys know if there such thing as a short term insurance policy I could get for an ex1?

I'm looking at about 2 weeks. I was considering letting a friend borrow my (still uninsured) EX1 but would like to get it covered first.

He's making a short film... So can I get a policy that will cover a third party for accidental damage and theft? Just for a few weeks at a time?

Any idea what I should be expecting to pay or a decent company to go with?

I'm clueless with this stuff... Hope you can help.

Cheers.

Why not get him to buy the insurance?

Camera insurance for photographers and photographic equipment (http://www.photoguard.co.uk/)

I doubt you'll get a short term policy, but put it the value of your gear (video/photo or both) and you get an instant quote. Quite cheap really...

You could give these guys a call in UK:
UK Camera Insurance from Aaduki (http://www.aaduki.com/)

Very helpful.

I second the Aaduki suggestion. Have been with them for years and they've always been helpful, informative and patient with me when I've had to do convoluted things.
I think they've done short term insurance for me in the past when I've needed to cover hired in kit.
