The threads all seen to be talking about problems with windows systems. How about converting for FCP, handling highlights and shadows, 4:2:2 for green screen, better quality video? Is this a must have for final cut?

Yes of course. Neo Scene is for Mac also, and a must 5D and AVCHD users, the 16-235 patch is not in the Mac build today, but it will be very soon.

Since you seem to be the man, can you tell me the advantages I'll receive in FCP. Faster rendering, better quality? I've read some of the post but a little help would be great.

Neo Scene for the Mac gives a little more than Neo Scene on Windows. It includes option conversion to ProRes (if you FCS2) as well as CineForm. In either case Neo Scene provide a fast, high-quality way to bump up the heavily compressed source into something easier to work with in post. Give the free trial a go. David,
Has you done any tests to determine if NeoScene converts the 5DMII files to ProRes quicker than Compressor does?
Cheers,
Matthew.
