I posted here the difficulties using CS4 with 5D files along with some workarounds using DV files as proxies (not Cineform, as it isn't fully supported on CS4 yet, and I wanted a free solution). I thought some of the issues/solutions might be of interest to other HDV users, not necessarily just 5D users.
