When I bought the HD201 I was told by JVC a better viewfinder would soon be available for this camera. The current one is not very good as we all know. But now there's the new HM700 and the improved viewfinder on this cam. And according to Tim it's not compatible with the HD201.
Does anyone know if there soon will be a better viewfinder available for de HD-series?

No news ... But I just wanted to add that the viewfinder of the JVC HD series camcorders really sucks! Have you checked out the Sony EX3? What an AMAZING viewfinder!

take a JVC VF P115 or P116 (better) ...take the 2 pins for the 12 volts alim.(direct to the battery prof)... take the ground and the composit PIN...and put on the COMPOSITE OUTPUT of the cam.... , yes..you see , you can't see all the message OSD BUT...the B/N and the big VF...help you really 3 times more better of the original...like for the FOCUS PERFECT (impossible on the original)
(excuse my english..but I think any one can understand, when like...)

Anyone ever tried this? I really dislike the current viewfinder.
