Is there any good reason why one cannot/should not use a 4-in-1 PC card adapter as an easy way to transfer files from the SD card into ones computer?

I tried it and it worked just fine on my laptop.

I actually find it easier and more convenient to transfer stills to PC by using those card readers instead of connecting the cam directly to the PC.

My casio digi cam has a nice USB linked holder which you just place the camera into and the pc recognises it and downloads. So I out the pana SD card into the casio and it recognised it and downloaded with the casio soft...the fine spec data files are not as specific as the casio ones....maybe with the correct pana soft they are better?

Of coarse I format the sd cards in the casio/pana before using.

I kinda wanna save wear and tear on the pana usb connectors and also I can never find the cable when I need it...the casio just sits pernebtly on my desk!

Lincoln,
Just select the directory in the SD card(removable /f/G: drive, base on the number of drives you have) which contains the MPEG files, copy, then paste into hard disk.

Its that much simple :-)
