Hey guys, I have the Frezzi mini fill dimmer for my Canon XH A1 and was wondering what seems to work a little better for diffusing light. The frezzi softbox or the barn doors w/ gels? I shoot mostly wedding and my dimmer does a great job , but the need is there for a diffuser. Any thoughts? The frezzi does run warm, has anyone had any trouble with the softbox getting s little too hot? I don't think I want to set myself and a church on fire...no one needs that.
Thanks for any help!!

The broader the source, the softer the light....diffusion gels do manage to even out the light coming from the source, but it's not really softer because the size of the source is the same, it's just less spotty.....the little softbox (disclaimer: I don't use this, I have seen them in use by some of the TV guys here) seems to make a nice light for interviews....my observation, hope it's some help / Battle Vaughan/miamiherald.com video team

I have always had good luck with a softbox. When I ran my AB Ultralite the softbox worked the best no matter what size bulb I used.
