Jeremy Ordan November 30th, 2006, 12:01 PM I'm going through and doing some end of year house cleaning and figured I'd post some gear for sale.
1. Nikon D50 w/ 18-55mm lens: In perfect like new condition, several thousand shutter uses, comes with original box and all original materials. $550
2. Nikon Mount Sigma AF 28mm 2.8 Lens - On 1-10 scale it is an 8, great light prime with macro focus ability. $150
3. Nikon Mount Sigma AF 105mm 2.8 Macro lens: On a scale from 1-10 it is a 10, comes with case, all documentation, caps. Super sharp excellent macro lens, tons of reach and can do a 1.6 magnification in addition to 1:1 macro work. Excellent glass and top notch quality. $400.
4. Nikon mount Vivitar Series 1 70-200 2.8 constant zoom lens. On a scale from 1-10 the glass would be a 9 and the lens itself would be a 7. It works PERFECTLY. Vivitar doesn't have the best reputation but in my tests this lens is as sharp as the Nikon 70-210 D lens and costs a lot less. It is built like a tank, no tripod collar, used for weddings and some nature work. Very strong build, but has broken filter ring at the front. Glass is clean and lens is very sharp and smooth with no barrel distortion. $300.
5. Panasonic GS-9 Camcorder - I don't know the hours but it has only been used as a deck. Ideal choice to import footage although it does not transmit timecode. I'm guessing it most likely has 30 hours on the head all trasmitting footage via firewire. I do not have the box but have camera, AC power, battery, firewire cable. $150.
All items do not include shipping and if paying by paypal please add 3% for paypal fees. If interested you can email me at jordan604 (@) carolina.rr.com or PM me at this name through DVXUser.com
Steve Nunez November 30th, 2006, 12:04 PM Canon XH-A1, mint purchased new at B&H weeks ago. I also have a Firestore FS4 HD (also bought new at B&H at same time) that works perfectly with the A1 (in both SD and HDV modes) for true tapeless workflow. The Canon has NEVER had a tape run through it- so it has ZERO hours on the tape transport heads as I used a Firestore from day one...this is about as new as you'll get.
I am 100% happy with the video this camera produces but think a P2 workflow would be better suited to the work I record. I normally only record a few minutes a day at work and compile the footage later into a larger project. (I'm a custom painter and show projects painted from start to finish and usually just shoot a few minutes per day)....so a P2 workflow would work much better for me than setting up a Firestore everyday for a few minutes of video.
The Canon XH-A1 will be sold with box and manuals and everything as when purchased new- I have the B&H receipt for $3999 and $979 receipt for the Firestore FS4 HD....I also have 2 of the largest batteries you can use with the A1 and circular polarizing filters....paid just over $5000 weeks ago.
Looking for a local NYC area HVX200 as I don't want to deal with trading via shipping......any questions- feel free to ask.
Steven Davis November 30th, 2006, 12:23 PM Your pictures are having access issues. Chris! hehe.
Steven Davis November 30th, 2006, 12:40 PM What Sennheiser system is it?
Jason Burkhimer November 30th, 2006, 12:44 PM Let me know if you will consider a shipping trade. I am in the exact opposite situation as you. I love my HVX but I need a tape(long form) workflow right now.
-burk
Jason Burkhimer November 30th, 2006, 01:05 PM Nevermind, I take it back. I love this camera! I think ill buy an HV10 for my other needs. Sorry, good luck with your trade!

Steven Davis November 30th, 2006, 02:03 PM Thanks, I was hoping it had the mic transmitter.
Steve Nunez November 30th, 2006, 02:09 PM No problem- if I don't get to trade it- it's perfectly OK with me....just interested in the HVX for my application.
It's probably quite a stretch to get someone NYC local that is interested in a deal like this- but we'll see.
I can always buy one and sell the A1, thanks for the replies.
Pasty Jackson November 30th, 2006, 02:10 PM Well, the FX7 is no longer available for sale on this forum... it's off to the ol' eBay.

Jack Foster November 30th, 2006, 02:34 PM Hi
I have a Sony DSR11 deck. Everything on it is working except the firewire card, its blow. Sony will charge $575.00 plus tax to fix it. I've just gotten a new JVC deck so I don't need the DSR11 deck anymore and don't want to spend the money to get it fixed. So best offer.
thanks

David Mintzer November 30th, 2006, 02:56 PM I just listed the camera on Ebay---It's no longer available here---Thank you.
Ben Winter November 30th, 2006, 03:34 PM Not sure what to do about that. They're attachments to the post, so they're being hosted by this website. As of now they load fine for me.
Michael Pennington November 30th, 2006, 03:41 PM Yeah, it has the receive and the transmitter. What you see on the link is what it has.
Giroud Francois November 30th, 2006, 04:18 PM next time somebody tell you something is not working, just remember that "As of now they load fine for me" is the most silly answer you can write.
Ben Winter November 30th, 2006, 05:51 PM Hmm, I don't know about that, I think the response "Elephantiasis behaves like a blue orphan road" would be equally if not more silly.
Matthew Nayman November 30th, 2006, 05:57 PM I might take the nikon 70-200
Michael Pennington November 30th, 2006, 06:47 PM Tripod

Eric Brown December 1st, 2006, 02:39 PM I'm selling this for $135.00. I've had this a couple of years and aside from a few light surface scratches the little guy is in fantastic shape cosmetically and functionally. Not sure of the compatibility with other cams as I used this a few times on my XL2. I've tested and checked it out and there are no problems with it. I found that I've adapted more to a hand-held style of shooting so keeping the controller has become redundant. If you have a Canon XL2 it will work, but I would research http://www.varizoom.com/products/controls/vzprol.html to find out if it works with your camera. I'm doing Paypal instant bank transfer these days because it's quick and convenient. Shipping will cost $8.00 to anywhere in the U.S.
Thanks.
Steven Houser December 1st, 2006, 02:59 PM Thx Mike! .
Tip McPartland December 1st, 2006, 08:14 PM I have a pristine Schneider Ultra-Pol 4x4 linear polarizer that is perfect for justabout any HDV camera with a matte box. This is an amazingly good polarizer, at least as good at the Tiffen Ultra-Pol and proably better because Schneider uses coated optics and Tiffen doesn't or so I've read.
I will sell this to the first taker for $225.00 plus actual shipping/insurance charges -- this is a very good deal and if you don't have a strong linear polarizer for the rotating stage of your matte box, jump on it.
Because I now have an XDCAM HD with a super-wide lens I had to go to a 5x5 matte box and I bought the 5x5 Schneider Tru-Pol -- woudn't have anything less. That is the only reason I'm selling this 4x4.
Please email me at:

Or phone me at 909 338-3160a thru Monday or (319) 806-4406 Tues.-Fri.

Push button, hotkey, mouse, or remote contact switching.

Great for desktop users requiring access to multiple computers
Features
Space-saving design eliminates desktop clutter in professional environments.
Supports Microsoft® Windows® operating systems.
Easy port selection by front-panel buttons, hotkeys, three-button mouse, or a remote push button.
Front-panel LED makes the active port easy to identify.
The AutoScan function allows port scanning at 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30, or 60 second intervals. This makes computer monitoring easy and hands-free.
Supports all standard VESA resolutions from 640 x 480 to 1600 x 1200.
Supports standard keyboard layouts with up to 104 keys and Microsoft IntelliMouse® or compatible mice.
Provides robust keyboard and mouse emulation to prevent lockups.
Today’s high-end video cards and high-end monitors—particularly the flat-panel displays—often support crystal-clear, high-resolution Digital Visual Interface (DVI) video. But DVI monitors, even the lightest flat-panel ones, are still bulky and expensive. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could use one DVI monitor for all your DVI computers?
Our ServSwitch Wizard™ DVI is the KVM switch that can make it happen. It connects as many as four computer CPUs, with as many as four DVI video heads each, to one or more DVI monitors and a PS/2® compatible keyboard and mouse. You can manage a full set of computers with DVI outputs from a single user station!
Models for almost any application.
If all your CPUs output a single head (feed) of DVI video, you can use the Single-Head version of the ServSwitch Wizard DVI. You can manage two CPUs with the 2-port model (KV1002A-R2) or up to four with the 4-port model (KV1004A-R2).
If some of your CPUs output two DVI heads, use a Dual-Head model (KV1022A-R2, KV1024A-R2). Or if some of your CPUs output three or more DVI heads, then use the Quad-Head version (KV1042A-R2, KV1044A-R2).
Resolution, resolution, resolution.
Do you need to display heavy-duty video? No problem. The ServSwitch Wizard DVI supports 1600 x 1200 at up to 60 Hz. It can display lower resolutions at even higher refresh rates. Its maximum pixel clock of 165 MHz per port is the highest single-link bandwidth the DVI specification supports!
If your video cards and monitor(s) support “compositing” images by outputting separate parts of them on separate video heads and recombining them at the monitor, the Dual- and Quad-Head models work even better than the Single-Head model. The Dual-Head models can pass through composite resolutions as high as 2400 x 1600, and the Quad-Head models can pass through resolutions up to 3200 x 2400.
Expands to handle large or diverse systems.
Have a lot of computers to manage or do you expect to soon? To switch between more than four DVI CPUs, you can cascade ServSwitch Wizard DVI chassis. Each cascaded 4-port ServSwitch Wizard DVI adds capacity for another four CPUs, but it uses one CPU port on your higher-level ServSwitch Wizard DVI.
Some DVI video cards support simultaneous outputs from more than four video heads. You can switch as many as eight heads using a pair of Quad-Head ServSwitch Wizard DVIs. Just synchronize the two switches by running cable between their serial ports. Then attach four heads to one chassis and the remaining heads to the other chassis. The ServSwitch Wizard DVI with the attached keyboard and mouse will serially echo your switching commands to the other chassis, causing all the heads to be switched at the same time!
A synchronized ServSwitch Wizard DVI system can even support both CPUs with DVI output and CPUs with analog VGA-type output. Because the Wizard DVI is just one of several of our KVM switches that use our proven ServSwitch Wizard technology, it’s compatible with several analog ServSwitch Wizard models, including the regular ServSwitch Wizard and the ServSwitch Wizard PRO. So if you synchronize a ServSwitch Wizard DVI with a compatible analog ServSwitch Wizard, you can attach your DVI CPUs to one set of ports on the ServSwitch Wizard DVI (say, Ports 1 and 2) and your analog CPUs to different ports on the other ServSwitch Wizard (say, Ports 3 and 4), then switch between the CPUs as if they were all attached to the same KVM switch!
Familiar, powerful ServSwitch Wizard features.
The ServSwitch Wizard DVI supports many of the same sophisticated features you’ve come to expect from our ServSwitch Wizard switches:
• Autoscanning all or active ports.
• Switching using the front-panel push button, hotkeys, a three-button mouse or IntelliMouse, the optional Remote-Control Module (KV6REM, etc.), or an automated system attached to the serial options port.
• Flash-upgradable firmware.
• Password-based security.
• And much more!
DDC support means better compatibility.
The ServSwitch Wizard DVI supports DDC2B Display Data Channel signaling. This enables your monitor to communicate with your CPUs’ video cards and configure the CPUs’ video drivers automatically at bootup. Do your monitor and video cards support DVI Hot Plug Detect? The ServSwitch Wizard DVI supports it, too—hot-swap equipment without fear!
Multiplatform, multi-OS support.
The ServSwitch Wizard DVI isn’t just for a narrow range of PCs running Microsoft Windows. It’s compatible with all popular PC operating systems. You can also attach IBM® RS/6000®, Compaq® Alpha®, or SGI™ computers that output DVI video, as long as they have PS/2 style keyboards and mice and a compatible keyboard layout.
