No there wasn't a fire, but the company I am working for; Royster Productions is selling off tons of computer/post/production gear!

There is a long list of stuff and I am not going to include everything, but if you email me I can give you some more detailed information. Also, next week we are opening our doors to local Los Angeles filmmakers and videographers to come by and check out the equipment!

Here is an abbreviated list of things we are selling:

Powermac G5 Dual 2Ghz
Powermac G5 Dual 1.8ghz

2x Apple 20" Cinema LCD Displays
Epson Photo 2200
Sony 13" Production Monitor
3x Adobe Creative Suite 2
3x Final Cut Studio Packages
JVC DVHS Deck
2x JVC HD10s Cameras
XSAN Licenses
Tons of XLR and BNC cables

Sony Beta Deck(not BetacamSP or Digibeta)

Did I mention we had tons of furniture?

We would rather not ship things(but we might for smaller items including software). We are located in Westwood, and would prefer local Los Angeles pickup.

So let me know if your interested, you can email david@roysterproductions.com or call up the studio at 310.479.3700 to schedule a time next week to come in and check stuff out. We accept credit cards, cashier's checks and PayPal.

I am selling two mint condition Sennheiser g2's (camera mountable versions) each has the plugon hand held modules (all are of the "c" frequency) comes with the original me2 mics for both and the 2 cables (for both) complete kits, work great, I have 2 audio technicas that I love and plan on replacing these with 2 of those (ATW U101's) anyway each is valued new at $599.00, I will sell each set for $400 (includes the plugon for handheld). I also have an ME66 Mic with the k6 module, has some scratches, but works perfect, with a lightwave windscreen (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=292347&is=REG&addedTroughType=search) I am asking $375.00 for the mic/module and wind screen. I have been on the boards here for a number of years and have a perfect rating for ebay.

Thanks Mike

Mike,

I'll take one of the G2 units. This is the receiver, transmitter, lav mic and plug-in for hand held correct? I can do paypal from my balance there, so no credit card fees. Please email me directly at patrick AT still-motion.ca to set something up for one of them.

Mike...I am about to buy a G2 and am curious why you like the ATs better? Sorry if this is not the place to ask the question.

I have mine going into m-audio recorders and it is easier for me to make miniscule output adjustments on the ATW's, the Sennheisers go in adjustment increments that are set, which would be fine when going into the camera directly (can adjust audio level at camera), one of the great advantages of the Sennheisers are they take AA batteries, which are cheaper and last a lot longer than the 9v's., I also love that they can scan for free channels automatically. The ATW's have a longer receiving range, and the stock mics, sound better to me on the ATW's, hope that helps.

one of the sets has been sold to Patrick, I even threw in an Iriver I never use, I was getting the sets ready for shipping and noticed that the transmitter on the second set has some scratches on it, from the wedding I did wed., just on the surface, anyway, the other 2 pieces have no scratches, I will throw in a MZ-R70 minidisk recorder for whoever gets the other G2 set, still have the ME66 available

Thanks

Will sell as a package or break up, all are in new shape except for the propac 14 which is used, but holds a great charge, have a few chargers laying around so make a decent offer and they can be yours, if this keeps up, my wife will be missing her toaster oven next :) Seriously, just cleaning house on some items I never use.

I am selling my canon XL-H1. It is as new and comes with all the original packing and accessories plus 2 additional high capacity batteries and an extra mains/12v charger. The camera has had little use. I'm selling because I now have a Sony F350 HD XDCAM so no longer have a use for the canon.
I am looking for £4800.00 including VAT.

I'm interested in the Ultra 2 light and Propac battery. I already have a Titan Twin charger. Can you give me more detail on what's included with the UL2 and whether it's dimmable or not?

Michael Stewart

Hi Greg, the UL2 by itself is not dimmable, it requires the Anton bauer dimmer....http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=330092&is=REG&addedTroughType=search, it is quite expensive, but is pretty slick, you can set minimum and maximum settings so when when you role the knob for instance, it goes from say 5 watts to 30, or 10 watts to 50, or.... well you get the picture, anyway the UL2 light has quick change heads so if you have a bulb burn, you can just swap the head (purchased seperately)and in 2 seconds you are ready to go again. Would be willing to let them both go for $150, the UL2-6 is new and the propac 14 is of course used (not digital propac) has always held a great charge, I never use it though, because I use the Hytron 50's and dionic 90's for my Steadicam, the propac is huge, letting it go cheap not because it is bad only because, I never use it and eventually it will become worthless, so someone should enjoy it. You cover shipping, if you are interested.

Thanks
Mike

Hey John,

Do you know where I can find specs on the Opteron 250? I was under the impression that the 250 was a single core CPU.

Thanks Mike. As you know, there are several flavors of AB UL2 so I was curious as to what length cable and if it is power tap or not. At this point $150 sounds good.

I'll continue the discussion via PM.

Chris, the 250 is a single core Opteron processor. The HP xw9300 will use 2 single core or 2 dual core processors. If you use 2 dual core processors you will actually have 4 individual processors. I am using a xw9300 with 2 dual core 280 Opterons and it screams.

Hope this helps.

FYI, you can buy AMD dual core Opteron processors for as little as $425.00 each for 270s. 285s are the fastest available and they currently sell for about $1100.00 each.

Chris, just out of curiousity I took a look at your profile here at DVinfo.net and found your website url, http://www.proteandigital.net/.

After going to your website and looking at the services you offer I am amazed that you did not know that the 250 is a single core processor.

To quote a sentence from your website "We support all your computer repair and IT related needs, ..."

Kind of makes you wonder?

Your ad says xw9300 Dual Core Opteron Workstation. I understand now that you meant it is Dual Core Opteron capable. When I posted that I thought you were saying that the included 250 was dual core and I thought that was a little odd - I thought maybe a new model with the same number became available that I hadn't heard of ;)
Do you know where I can find specs on the Opteron 250? I was under the impression that the 250 was a single core CPU.
Thus, the reason I asked if you had a link to it.

Incedentally, I was looking at your ad as I am seriously debating replacing my Dual Xeon setup, or keeping it and getting a nice laptop - too bad I can't do both right now. Decisions, decisions, decisions ... :P

I am truly sorry if anyone on this forum feels that I intentionally misrepresented this system. Since I cannot edit the original title I am withdrawing my offer to sell this machine on this forum at this time.

Thanks for your interest.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, been busy. No the guy told me they had been having issues with the D2 series. So I asked him why they didn't test the card before selling it, to which he responded "The card is made for professionals, no professionals use Lacie, they are a very consumer oriented company." Which I found strange, because few, if any consumers have any need for FW800, so why would a 'consumer oriented company like Lacie' make firewire 800 and eSATA drives? Anyone else on DVINFO think Lacie is for consumers? I found the whole situation very strange.

I've emailed the company twice now since they told me they would send me an email giving me the information to return the card, but still no response...if anyone else wants to buy the card, give me an email because at this point I doubt this company (akumen.com/nitroav.com) will ever contact me back... :(

How much are you selling it for? I amy still be possibly interested as I may be getting an external FW800 notebook size drive ...

If the price is right, I'll take it off your hands ...
